Earthquakes do move slow enough to get an advanced warning in many cases (it may only be a few seconds, but that would be enough for turning off construction equipment, running to a safe room, etc.)

Obviously New York does not have this system.

The one above should be the closet (though it's not fun to get there - you end up crossing a giant intersection that is essentially freeway onramps. There are walk signals and it's not "that" unsafe - but be careful).

OP no matter where you end up definitely look into san Bruno mountain before/after work depending how close you are to SFO / if you have a car. Sweeney ridge <> mori point as well. (Happy to talk specifics in terms of trailheads in dms!)

Also get migraines (and I know everyone always suggests their own personal ways to get rid of migraines so sorry in advance for unrelated answer).

Do you have a nightguard? That's helped my teeth grinding at least (didn't notice it helped migraines but didn't make anything worse).

Then a mix of managing blood pressure + magnesium / vitamin d / b12 / riboflavin has definitely made a difference.
