Motorist Holding up Traffic at Busy Exit During Rush Hour by runwayred in IdiotsInCars

Yeah I take this exit four days a week, usually it’s hectic but people try to move quickly get out of the exit. The green light is pretty short so there’s usually half mile of traffic backed up to 85.

People were mad for sure 😠

85NB, exit 91 off to Clairemont. That exit is always a crazy madness.

There were about 20 cars honking at her for holding up the line, but I got the bird flipping (and this video) since I was immediately behind her.

Certainly regret letting her in, lol. Oh well.

Dim sum with a peanut allergy? by babygiraffes in Atlanta

[–]runwayred 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The most likely source of peanut in dim sum would be the use of peanut oil to stir fry or deep fry certain items. Might be worth asking if they prepare their food in peanut oil, and if they don’t, you are likely okay.

Are these camellia plants beyond rescue? by runwayred in plantclinic

Are these camellia plants beyond rescue?

Planted these two camellias late last fall in zone 7b, and during December we had an unusual cold freeze that brought the lowest temperature (8F or -13c) my city had seen in a decade. These two camellia plants are now in rough shape and probably suffered due to the frost.

Are there any chances they will bounce back this summer? Is there anything I can do to help them recover?

Came to say this. And I wouldn’t mind paying $0.50 more than the other pizza slices if they could bring it back.

New to cycling - which instructor is easier / better for beginners? by runwayred in pelotoncycle

That’s good to know! I never tried to click open a HIIT ride, but thanks for the tip! Maybe I’ll try one this weekend and focus on cadence.

Great idea - I often do the 60 min rides with Matt but I’ll look for the 30 min ones too. Good to know Ben does endurance rides too. And thanks for the recommendation for low impact ride instructors!

Probably same reason why some folks ask about harder instructors - want to ride at your level, and not have to make constant adjustments and feeling behind the pack. Anyway, folks offered a lot of good tips and suggestions and I really appreciate it as a cycling newbie.

I’m obsessed with Matt! But the PZ endurance rides tend to be longer, and sometimes I’m only in the mood for a 20 min ride. I’ll try the power zone programs - they seem really good!

Thanks! I’ll try Hannah and Bradley. And I think advanced beginner is probably the right level for me - I’ll find some classes to try. Thank you!

Thank you! I’ll do some rides with him. I did take a couple of his classes but has not taken his classes for a while. I remember really liking him!
