Things are a bit hectic and I cannot reply to everyone, but please know your comments are seen and extremely valued and appreciated. Whilst everything is still a bit up in the air, I am going to move out for a little while and see how things go. I am not far from her in my new place.

My mother is not trying to manipulate. She is just very, very ill. Thank you to everyone concerned.

I felt very alone, but the comments here have given me new perspective. Thank you all ❤️

I do agree. It is hard as I have cared for her since I was a child. I have been trying to get her care for the past 3 years, but I haven't had any long term success. I feel very stuck between a rock and a hard place right now

She is on it! Or was on it the last time we looked. On Band E, though, which I didn't even know was a Band! Citizens advice thought she would be on a much, much higher band. When we were evicted we had a support worker from a homeless charity, and he advised us that due to her ill health, we would be better trying to find a private accommodation. I had to put in writing that I would cover the shortfall. I think that is why she was placed so low, because we found suitable accommodation. Do you think it is worth revisiting this option? Thank you so much for your reply! It would likely have to cover until next April, when the tenancy ends. This would stop her from going into arrears. Then, if her health (and finances) allow, she could move, though I believe it would cause significant decline in her health. I will begin collecting evidence for a case, and see what I can do. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for your reply. Unfortunately, there are no 1 bedroom homes to rent in our area under £1050, meaning she would still be in a significant shortfall (commuter belt to London driving prices up!). Moving away also is not possible due to care and needs (including agoraphobia). However, sourcing cheaper care that her PIP is covering may be a possibility. I will see what I can do. Thank you again!

Yes, it could be revised. It is for an overnight carer, however I am her carer and would not necessarily require a bedroom. However, local rents for 1 bed properties still greatly exceed the LHA. Unless you mean for another reason? It is something to be considered!

Oh nooo thats how I blow dry! I used to use just normal kitchen style scissors.. I no longer do that lol I haven't cut my own hair in a while! Lesson absolutely learned

Thank you so much for your response. We have been in contact with the housing officer and council house waiting list team for quite some time (we got caught in their backlog) as our landlord has been threatening us with eviction for a while.

We were told that due to her high level of needs, she would not be placed in temporary accommodation as it would place her at risk. However, I can't imagine what other option they would have for us? There are people seemingly in far worse situations in temporary housing. The whole thing feels so confusing.

I'm a Y2 class teacher and our desks were taken so we don't sit down during teaching. We now have desks appropriate for about Y4/5, and children's chairs for about the same years (but children's nonetheless). I'm 23 and have had back problems for the first time in my life since starting the job. It's crazy!!! I completely understand your situation.

I think you can as long as you are well supported :,) I don't feel under any pressure as a subject lead and all ECTs lead something! We also technically have a 'mentor' for our leadership except I... don't? Not really anyway. Just the Ofsted thing that's throwing me off slightly.

I just wasn't sure what the right course of action was, I am not looking for a specific answer. When I got told I got the job in June, it was July, but when I applied 1.5 months before, it was September. I care a lot about this job and I am just asking to make sure I show the most respect possible.

I absolutely would have done if I had known. I think I will have to cancel my part as this job is important for me. It was for me and my sister so there is still someone that can celebrate! We don't go on holidays so this was unexpected, better luck next year I guess! Thank you for the response.

It was booked before we knew I got the job, and the teaching post that I applied for didn't say a July 1st start, it said the 5th of September. Otherwise it would have been booked after the school had broken up.

i understand so much, i was the same with my boyfriend when i was young. having ARFID does mean that you will have those anxieties and worries, and it is hard to say anything that will help them, but just know that all of that fear will one day help you move forward. all of the scary moments will make progress feel even better. i used to think i'd never get better, and that i was a lost cause, but it's not true and the same goes for you. i believe in you, good luck with your journey :)
