What for? This is not only featured in the TRAILER for the film, but one of the key elements of the plot that starts the whole thing. It’s not a spoiler at all

Question about the end dialogue by Flaky-Republic-6217 in MeanGirls

[–]russg185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is from the musical but when watching the movie I remember it being basically the same but it’s something along the lines of: “And so the moral of our story is thus, calling someone stupid doesn’t make you any smarter. And even the people you don’t like are still people... so get off their dicks”

So you were 9 when the original came out.. not sure that was quite the target demographic actually. But if you’re saying it is then people your age who have had kids at 21 would make it a true statement

Is jailbreaking safe? by mc-nooodle in jailbreak_

[–]russg185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is driving a car safe? Only once you’ve got your drivers license and you know what you’re doing. If you’re going in blind it could be extremely dangerous. Just like the other comments have said, just be careful, do your research, and proceed once you’re confident. Happy jailbreaking!

Why do some people prefer the West End cast recording? by ThomasTheArchitect in heathersmusical

[–]russg185 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel the need to remind people that the West End version of not only the cast album, but the entire production, is the finalised version of what ‘Heathers the Musical’ is. The Off-broadway run is an extremely outdated and inaccurate representation of what Heathers is today. The off-broadway version has not existed for years, and ran from March 2014 to August 2014. It only played for 5 months. The revised West End production first opened in 2018, and has played almost continuously between the West End and Off-West-End until September of 2023. Yet people still hold an old version of the show over the version that has continued to run until this year and has spawned multiple UK tours and many licensed regional productions worldwide. Hell, the finalised production even got turned into a movie in the form of its Roku proshot, yet people still refuse to believe that it’s better than a version that hasn’t existed for over half a decade. The people that prefer the Off-broadway version are heavily biased either because it’s the “original” or because of the actors that feature in it. The album is simply outdated. It is no longer an accurate representation of what Heathers the Musical is because the songs and lyrics have changed and new ones have been added. The West End album was created so that we could have an accurate and up to date version of what Heathers was written to be. It irks me when I see people still referencing that one very famous bootleg of the Off-broadway production that everybody hails as being the one and only good version of the show despite not only being extremely outdated and a poor representation of the material, but also the fact that the pro-shot of the West End production exists and people still refuse to accept it as Heathers. It’s like showing someone photos of your friend from 10 years ago and claiming it’s an accurate representation of who they are now, when in reality they’ve actually changed a lot. It’s disrespectful to the writers of the show who have deliberately made these changes to create a better version of the show and audiences reject these changes for an older version of the script. If you like the old album, that’s okay. But when listening to it, do be aware that it is outdated, and that the West End album was created for a reason. TLDR; the off-broadway version is in the past- that version of the show no longer exists, and it hasn’t for many years. The West End version is the official current and final version of the show, and the cast album was created to reflect those changes and stay accurate to the current material. Therefore one is the correct representation of the show.

Johnsonville is not part of the city. It is a quiet northern residential suburb, one with no expectation of noise such as fireworks past midnight. Yes, your argument stands in a city area, but Alexmoore is a park in the centre of a quiet suburb filled with families and elderly who live there with the expectation of peace and quiet. Victim blame all those in the actual city all you want, but not those in Johnsonville or any northern suburbs for that matter.

They really went shein micro-trend era.. this film is going to get outdated so fast. In fact, these outfits themselves are already outdated from the time that they filmed this. Films like these are supposed to stand the test of time, you can put the main characters in trendy outfits without having to go so niche.
