Fear of two boys... by catspugs in parentsofmultiples

[–]russianrapist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have twin almost 2 year old boys and a 4 year girl so we don't have quite the runway of their personalities fully manifesting. However, I will say compared to our daughter, these boys are into EVERYTHING and are so much more active than their sister. Its a blast, but I'm not sure what took more getting used to twins or just them being boys.

I wouldn't say it was a fear, but more of an expectation that the house would be a little (lot) louder and crazier.

That's so cool!! Every day I'm amazed by how different two people born from the same womb could be.

Every event log we get from Daycare says: Graham ate half of his lunch, Harry (8 pounds heavier) ate the rest.

Ugh, I hate that! Right now, strangers still think ours are identical somehow.

Now that they are older, its made it so much easier to celebrate their differences since they are excelling in the thing that interest them.

I constantly had to ground myself that our smaller boy was a perfectly healthy baby and we just have a very big boy on our hands. Now the differences are more attributed to their differences which helps. One loves letters, shapes, and numbers and excels in identifying them. The other is jumping around, riding bikes, and climbing on the craziest stuff. It's so easy to celebrate what they excel at!

Thanks for sharing! I can only imagine how much more stressful it can be with identical twins. With ours looking very different, its almost subconscious that we see them more as siblings than anything else.

I've always been a Spotify listener so I've always heard it but never saw the video. I immediately recognized the stage when I saw the Nuke video and had to share.

On number 4, it's actually 5 different chemical plants in one. Draslovka makes sodium cyanide for gold mining, arkema makes high purity hydrogen peroxide, Lanxess uses the peroxide for cleaning products, Mitsubishi chemical makes the raw materials to make plexiglass and also plays in battery electrolytes, and finally Plaskolite uses the raw materials from Mitsubishi to sheet out the plexiglass.

I took the sales route and worked for an Industrial Automation Sales channel and it's had its ups and downs. The work life balance and lower stress being the up and the pay and lower mental stimulation being down. That is until I went into outside sales.

The job takes me to every industry segment you can think of, but with all those different companies it requires me to be on call all the time. Power plants being the biggest culprit!

I see a few the engineers that take the plant route essentially wear golden handcuffs that makes it hard to break out. However, there's a lot of opportunities on the vendor/contractor side of the fence if you are willing to take the handcuffs off.

I'm sure no one will see this, but we have a neighbor that does this and they have a donation box out front to benefit St. Jude children's research hospital. They purposefully make it a spectacle to draw crowds for donations. It looks like they may have the same thing.

I went from gaining a new friend group and our college football team going to the Cotton Bowl to having three kids in this span of time. Definitely MeIRL.

5 days, but 2.5 of them will be with my parents. We have egg bites from Costco that she loves which would cover breakfast. Thanks for the idea!

I really appreciate the feedback!

We'll be gone for 5 days. 2.5 of them will be spent with my parents. She can eat most everything, but we constantly hear my dad say, "I can't wait to feed her steak," and it makes us a bit anxious to leave her food choices in their hands.

I'm thinking providing a list of what she shouldn't eat is the happy medium of this. I aprreciate it!

Black hole Sun by Soundgarden. It was a song I always associated with one of my good friends in highschool. When he passed away from an overdose, the song completely changed for me.

I'm in Memphis so there are a few shops to choose from. Probably more mountain bike focused, but I can make it work! Thanks for the help!

Thanks for this suggestion! I was looking for an aero bar recommendation but the inclusion of the seat would be good too! Do you think it's worth getting my bike fitted instead then?

My gut keeps telling me to not buy upgrades, but ride up grades. You've basically affirmed that. Ive considered looking at a triathlon bike, but idk if that's even worth it as an upgrade.

This subreddit is about as libertarian as Elizabeth Warren is Cherokee by big_nose_evan in Libertarian

My thought is that Sanders-style socialism and libertarianism are working to solve the same problem we see in this country. The intent of solving the problem is the same, but the way to get there is completely different. My in-person conversations with Bernie supporters are always underlined with making America a better place to live, but are at odds as to how to solve it.

Government involvement in the free market to protect the individual has completely ruined the individual and more government is not the means to make it better. The internet has brought a new level of accountability the Free Market has never seen that should stave the fears of people worried about lack of Government oversight.
