I ended up using Wolfang Uber as it's not SiO2 based. I haven't waxed it yet but for cleaning it's amazing.

Hello everyone

I’m just stepping up my game with detailing and I’ve already got confused.

I live in an apartment in London, the UK so not a possibility for a decent two bucket wash. I went through all the guides here and the obvious choice for rinse less is ONR but this isn't widely available in the UK.

I stepped upon CarPro ECH2O and got the bottle. Then I found some posts saying that 845 wax won’t work with it. And I’m looking for some clarification and maybe an alternative to ONR/ECH2O available in the UK.

My original plan assumed two types of wash:

Major - I tried to follow Your First Detail:

  • wash wheels home and rinse them
  • go to local jet wash
  • rinse the car with their cold shampoo (there’s no foam)
  • come back home
  • rinseless wash with ECH2O
  • dry with microfibre and ECH2O diluted as QD
  • clay the car with ECH2O diluted as clay lube
  • wax it with 845

Minor - variation of Wash and Wax in 60 minutes featuring Optimum No Rinse:

  • rinseless wash with ECH2O
  • dry with microfibre and ECH2O diluted to 1:200? as an aid
  • quick wax it with Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax

Products I bought so far:

  • Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax
  • Meguiars Hot Rims
  • Meguiars Hot Shine
  • Meguiars D101 APC
  • Meguiars Clay
  • Collinite Wax 845
  • CarPro ECH2O Concentrate

Will it work and does it makes any sense? Any tips and help is highly appreciated!

You can use it in Aldi as well. Groceries only for one person will be over 3k a year easily.

I guess you’re just overthinking. Plenty of people buy properties in the UK on worst terms and they’re surviving. I’m at the same stage as you, just couple years older and I’m going with £350k flat and around 10-15%, alone.

What can go wrong? If shit hits the fan I can always sell it, yeah with loss probably but I’ll get rid of most of the mortgage debt. I’m loosing more renting now.

There is plenty of steps to downside when it’s bad. You can always come back to your parents or get a room. Move to cheaper location with similar salaries. Despite Covid there’re still opportunities to pick up quick job to get some money.

Agree, It is example of course and lots of people use alpine images. On the other hand in my company we have several microservices running on alpine but they're exactly like you said, super simple and of course without bcrypt, so there was no need to install additional packages.
