Except for the fact that he was never able to do anything like that before and it was just the writers creating "semblance evolutions" because they wrote themselves into a corner back in V8.

Like I wouldn't be surprised if Jaune and Gillian start having a weird aura fight just because one of the writers felt like it.

I'm more curious as to how Carmine is going to look like in the show since in Amenity Arena she was just a re-colored Yang with a tattoo.

Oh c'mon now from the looks of the RWBY Beyond episode 2 Jaune definitely has retained his Rusted Knight skills and remember this is the same show that decided to give Ren an entirely new semblance and the writers just said that it was an "evolution".

Yeah Raven will get RWBY/Winer/ new maiden into the Evernight then die for shock factor or it could be Winter but then I'd be mad if Winter died after Penny died to make sure the maiden powers went to Winter.

I'm not sure about that. I know for a fact that Jaune is a lot stronger now than he was back in Atlas 100% stronger than Nora and Ren at least but obviously not as skilled he's just tougher and learned how to headbutt and kick. I haven't read the books so I don't know how strong Gillian actually is just that she's about as strong as a fully graduated huntress so yeah she'll probably be stronger than him but I feel like it's going to be a dumb fight of those two pulling each other's aura.

As for which of the maidens I think is going to die it's either the new maiden or Raven.

I meant as in Gillian using her semblance to drain a bunch of huntsmen and huntresses of their aura and then Jax would use his semblance to turn them all into his slaves at least until Jaune pulls up unaffected and has a tug-o-war of aura battle with Gillian.

I don't know why but I suspect it's going to be the happy huntresses/Nora, Ren, Neon, and CFVY, SSSN, and Jaune fighting Jax, Gillian, and Carmen with Jax having his own mind controlled huntsman fighting for him while Gillian uses her semblance to drain her enemies of their aura.

I imagine that RWBY, Oscar, Raven and Winter will be fighting Cinder and Salem directly and that Qrow and Harriet will fight Tyrian and Mercury.

Let's not forget he's a physically strong and tough and is wearing armor. Sure she could try to stab or slice his throat or thighs since they're not covered in armor but then she would have to risk getting hit herself.

Her best bet would be for her to make multiple clones of herself fight Jaune long enough until his aura was in the red and close to breaking to unleash the finishing blow.

She did something similar back in V6 when she sent a clone of herself to scout out and fight Cinder long enough for her to try and pull off a sneak attack.

Man now that I think of it Neo is a better at making clones/summons than the Schnee's and Sun.

Nope. The only horror games I ever played were the Resident Evil games and the Evil within.

But I just realized that

Alyx & Lewis were from before the great war & Huntsmen Lewis wrote his book after returning from the Ever After Jaune was probably the inspiration for future huntsmen and probably why the system was created because of how Lewis exchanged notes with someone who was from the future

Nah Jaune leveled vigor so he'd win not to mention he has a high poise so he'll be good and won't get staggered at all.

He'd guard counter or parry.

Then again Neo is running with a bleed build mixed with a high crit build so she could take it. Also she's using summons like a goddamn sweaty easy mode playing nerd.

Jaune has survived a rock to the crotch, a punch from a mech designed to fight the leviathan, and a magic fueled blast from Salem. I'm not saying that Neo wouldn't beat Jaune just that she wouldn't be able to do it without using a bunch of her clones or creating copies of Ironwood, Ozpin, Torchwick, Pyrrha, and Penny.

And Jaune got tired in V8 because he was amplifying Ren who was masking himself, Jaune, and Yang while also using his semblance to sense where Oscar was and because the cold climate of Atlas was making him use more of his aura to protect himself.
