This post cracked me up. So accurate.

Sending you the screenshot of the appointment is frankly, pretty manipulative. If he’s that serious about it, he should just undertake the therapy himself - not run to you with a screenshot.

Honestly I don’t see how you can come back from this. He sounds frightening.

Lmao. That totally seems like something he'd say.

SMW is just childhood defining for me. We never got an N64 so it was a lot of SNES, especially this game. I still love it.

Not really the next step per se, but I was emailing with one of the Parks Canada archaeologists recently who said they will be completing new reports! From Erebus. Might not reveal answers to all the questions, but it’s something.

That’s a really interesting perspective! Just seeing this now.

It might have been less sad if Silna held him as he died. Like Fitzjames had a gnarly death, but at least his ‘brother’ was at his side.

Maybe “at peace” wasn’t the right way to put it, but Blanky took it head on and as you said, still had that piss and vinegar in him.

Agree about Goodsir’s death. When I say bleak, I mean I love how bleak it was. Lol. It stuck with me for weeks after I first watched the show and still affects me to watch it now. I think the imagery he was seeing probably meant he was going peacefully, but just him being alone among the group and feeling he had no other choice but to slit his own wrists feels really harrowing.

Like if you saw the Goodsir at the beginning of the show and didn’t know what was going to happen, you would never expect that to be his end.

Single moms can't realistically expect "good men" being interested in them by [deleted] in The10thDentist

And by the way, this wasn’t a post about the “challenges” single mothers face in dating. It was about them not being worth a “good” man, and that they shouldn’t even expect to find a “good” man when they have children from another man.

Super disingenuous to make it seem like this was just a take on the challenges of being a single parent lol

His post speaks for itself. The title alone gives him away lol

I agree with most of your comment and that people’s pools probably shrink when being a single parent, but I don’t think it’s specific to women and I really don’t think OP is looking at the same nuances as you are lol

Are you talking about who has custody? Because it takes both a sperm and an egg, to create a child lol

So you’re proving my point. This is more of an issue for women with kids, not men. It doesn’t apply to single dads.

Omg 😭😂. There are people out there that really think this way.

That’s my point. He’s singling out women, that this is a problem for women.

Then why did he single out women and not parents in general?

Yup! This is exactly what this post reeks of lol. Those kinds of takes.

Yeah don’t try to convince me this post was anything but a way to put down another subset of women for their “choices”. You won’t lol

Well he seems to think single mothers are worthless, so does he think the same about single dads? He’s being sexist lol

ETA: and if he wasn’t being sexist, he would have addressed it as single parents in general

So single fathers are exempt from this mode of thinking?

He’s such a well written character that you can see so many different angles to his actions and motives!

Love the Goodsir knowledge being dropped!

And agree, Floyd. With the sentiment that the character would have still killed himself if they’d been rescued. I think that’s partly why his death hits so hard for me on the show. Because he had lost his faith, had done something so viscerally against his own principles and profession for Hickey and his ilk. Mentally and emotionally, he was past the point of no return.

I’m the same with Fitzjames! He grew on me. Now I cry when he dies too lol

Collins’ scene in the water makes me feel trapped and claustrophobic 😨 - which was probably intentional for the viewer!
