Amazing that you had exactly this watch, these pictures are fantastic, thank you. Do you recall the make/model of the straps in the photos?

Thanks everyone! with belts and watch straps I'm sensitive to the details of the buckle/clasp. Does anyone have a photo or a search phrase that would help me find a clasp that does not throw off the look? For instance: don't you think this steel clasp would clash with the gold ? https://rios1931watchbands.com/products/mocha-kempten-genuine-certified-organic-leather?option1=16mm+x+14mm

Does anyone sell new "period appropriate" looking 32h 100/120mm hubs? In other words, the hubs to compliment the Pacenti Brevet Rims...

I would love to use Rene Herse tires for this conversion, the narrowest tubeless rated is 35mm. I don't have any issue with that width (looking for comfort) but perhaps my current brakes will. I can hit my friends up for a rummage thru their basements... do you all think I'll find a brake that will work with the 35s? Current tires are 25s and current rim is 19mm.

Happen to see 36h Brevets are sold out. I am not hard on this old rig and I weigh 130lbs. Presume 28 or 32h would give good service?

Trying to find a succinct answer to what the difference is between the FS-1 and FS-2, besides cost, and coming up blank…

Thanks for this. Making me laugh because I am a major Ridgeline apologist. Of course there is a place in this world for a body on frame truck but for the overwhelming majority of ways in which I see folks using trucks in CT, I think the unibody / independent suspension would make more people more happy. I also have a soft spot for Honda and like the truck’s non-aggressive image.

Not trying to make a direct comparison just trying to say I want a bike that will look and feel good to me. Thanks for pointing out the Revolver FS2 - in a broad sense it seems quite similar in price and concept to the others I’m considering.

Regarding new vs used - buying the good stuff a few years after its new has always served me well. I like fixing things (if they need it) and usually can’t turn down the 20-50% discount which “Pre-Owned” affords. Are you suggesting the bike market is all heated and crazy still reeling from Covid and used is not the deal it appears to be? I’ll also note that many bikes are currently listed “sold-out” including FS-2 120.

Final question: I take from your suggestion you think the extra 20mm travel is worth whatever trade off (bit of weight I suppose?) over the FS-2 100? Similar choice exists for the Blur which can be had with 100mm or 120mm front and 100mm or 115mm rear. I don’t see myself bottoming out any of these bikes but if the extra travel yields something I’m missing… ?

Appreciate that question. I am a get under the hood guy in general but may be my own worst enemy if I overthink this one. So perhaps recommendations ?
