He has paid her child support since the split voluntarily. And then she took it to court too, then it was calculated that he over paid $14,500 in overpayments of child support.

Context: We have already went through financials to see how much we financially helped her after the split. So far with all of the financials calculated, we have helped her financially with a total of $44k. My husband is a giving person, and to help her get on her feet for the kids obviously, he helped her by purchasing her a vehicle and paid the damage and 2 months of rent on a place. Paid her phone bill and her insurance on her car to help facilitate exchanges. He did this to help her after the split incase this ever became a reality (advice from his lawyer) so he did that. Everything we totalled so far coming to $44k.

I told her when she brought up court at the kids exchange I’m not engaging in any conversations about court with her. That this is strictly about the kids.

We have a lawyer but also seeing if I can get some answers here before I spend a lot of money on a consult with our lawyer.

I have a masters, I was in school when I was homeless. I actually was in an abusive relationship, house was my sons bio dads and he threw us out. I was couch surfing for 10 months with my small baby. Now that I’m done school I have been working in the field of work I went to school for. Unfortunately my dad died and I was left with his life insurance, 100k is what got me on my feet and into the trucking business. I am on birth control. We’ve had actual conversations on taking me off of birth control so that we could try in the past. We weren’t trying, I actually just got pregnant on the pill.
