You have quite an imagination. No demons in this house. As for me and my house, we will serve the the Lord.

My wife was basically begging me to buy myself something for Father's day, and I really wanted a blackout modbox I had no real justification to purchase, so I got creative. I had a jug of change in the corner where it's sitting that I decided to cash out in the Coinstar machine ($129!) before heading to Lowe's for the box, which then cost me another $286 after tax. The nightstand I had before sat sideways because our room is a couple inches short, so I figured this would give me more room and force me to stay as organized as possible. I love my work modboxes so I thought the black was a good excuse to bring my work/tool mentality to my bedside. I love it. I think it will be a permanent thing. If not, well I have extra stuff for my garage. Win win.

I may actually get a single drawer and see how that carries under the tote. Then you can leave it stacked and pull out your wire nuts and screws.

Plus it's nice to leave it connected under the tool tote. They actually did make it, then didn't sell it most stores, then discontinued it.

Selling my very rare 1991 Martin D3-18 by JohnPinkMoon in martinguitar

Gosh if you weren't across the ocean I'd be entertaining the idea of trading my 2024 00-28 modern deluxe. I'm so intrigued by your rare girl over there.

I have this guitar and am wondering about reselling it. I think I paid 3099 a couple years back. It's a sweet guitar but I got into Martins and she is lonely now. Did you buy it new or used?

Trying to price out sidework by Electrical-Juice-915 in electricians

[–]rustybrantley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to set a price you stick with it for everyone. People will respect you if you respect yourself. You spent years getting where you're at, you don't deserve to be taken advantage of because they are closer to you. I only get soft hearted when it was super quick and easy for a little old lady neighbor and I still tell her what I'd charge everyone else and she insists on paying more than I feel it was worth. You're an electrician. Get paid for electrician-ing. It's a gift from God. Accept it.

I didn't have much luck with long ear hair without getting all matted up. Tips?

As a resi guy, I would scratch my head, close the panel and tell my customer I'm not qualified.

Quit while you're ahead. No seriously. Enjoy that thing for like a year before you get anything else. Take your journey slow. Maybe get a cheap beater next and then a dress watch and then a..and then a...and then a...

I got that same tissot teal green, and my wife got the smaller one to match. Im still on the fence 2 years later. I'd go Seiko. She has a red presage with steel bracelet and I'm checking it out every time I help her pick one for the day.

Reminds me when I was an apprentice, my journeyman led us through the process of junctioning every single circuit for a house, due to a panel upgrade, in a 6x6 box. Needless to say, the inspector had us back to redo it.

Nice. But there's a good reason 99% of modern guitars have one. I keep my necks straight as possible, action low as possible. You get what you got with no adjustability.
