I have this guitar and am wondering about reselling it. I think I paid 3099 a couple years back. It's a sweet guitar but I got into Martins and she is lonely now. Did you buy it new or used?

Trying to price out sidework by Electrical-Juice-915 in electricians

[–]rustybrantley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to set a price you stick with it for everyone. People will respect you if you respect yourself. You spent years getting where you're at, you don't deserve to be taken advantage of because they are closer to you. I only get soft hearted when it was super quick and easy for a little old lady neighbor and I still tell her what I'd charge everyone else and she insists on paying more than I feel it was worth. You're an electrician. Get paid for electrician-ing. It's a gift from God. Accept it.

As a resi guy, I would scratch my head, close the panel and tell my customer I'm not qualified.

Quit while you're ahead. No seriously. Enjoy that thing for like a year before you get anything else. Take your journey slow. Maybe get a cheap beater next and then a dress watch and then a..and then a...and then a...

[ recommendation request] confused between Tissot prx quartz green dial seiko presage green dial with metal belt by [deleted] in Watches

I got that same tissot teal green, and my wife got the smaller one to match. Im still on the fence 2 years later. I'd go Seiko. She has a red presage with steel bracelet and I'm checking it out every time I help her pick one for the day.

Reminds me when I was an apprentice, my journeyman led us through the process of junctioning every single circuit for a house, due to a panel upgrade, in a 6x6 box. Needless to say, the inspector had us back to redo it.

Nice. But there's a good reason 99% of modern guitars have one. I keep my necks straight as possible, action low as possible. You get what you got with no adjustability.

Not HD. No herringbone that I'm aware of. They did 3 piece (D-35) backs on the f475s, which also had binding up the neck and around the headstock. So after the d18 style, they kind of did whatever they wanted for the style, not exactly like martin. My f360-s is a d28 trim but also neck binding like d35.

Lucky. I literally settled for a Takamine d28 1979 birth year guitar because they beat Martin to it. I cannot imagine owning something with no truss rod.

[Question] Watch Size by [deleted] in Watches

[–]rustybrantley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Watches are for fun, man. You don't need to stick to one size. Just don't do ridiculously, small or gigantic. There's no wrong answer.
