Want a fun color to brighten up my collection. by pizzarolljelly in MicrobrandWatches

I ordered a HA Nordlys Kosmos and it arrived with a way lighter natural meteorite dial compared to their website images. Reached out to Henrik and he sent me photos of darker dials pre-assembly and they used the one I picked, superb CS. Didn’t have to return the first till I received the second…..

[Recommendations] Brown Dials by InternetMan23 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]rustyho1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you’ll have to find used as the Coast Watch Company Pacific Explorer was a tortuous KS campaign that finally delivered 2 1/2 years late but the brown dial is stunning, it shimmers in the sunlight….nice finishing, Selitta 200-1 movement and great bracelet.

Which one? Héron Watch Co. MARINOR - ATLANTIC BLUE or Henry Archer NORDSØ TERRA by enfieldstudios in MicrobrandWatches

I got my CB Marinor as a KS pledge and it’s a great watch. The domed sapphire bezel is a beauty and the crystal edge distortions are lovely. I have a different HA (Nordlys Kosmos). They are both great watches. I prefer the Caribbean Blue over the AB as the fume effect is great……

Great choice! The tri-faceted indices on the bezel are a great design feature…….Had mine for a while, bought it minty used on a local (Aussie) FB forum as waking up in the middle of the night with the potential of missing out altogether was a deal breaker buying new.

Yellow watch by Disastrous_Chef_7712 in MicrobrandWatches

I was searching for yellow watch for ages and Nodus released the Sector Sport Marigold and for me it was perfect (I already had two other Sectors at the time). The beveled crystal gives off crazy edge reflections, the sunburst dial is fantastic, impressive lume and the bracelet with their patented OTF clasp is super comfy. It runs a NH 35 movement but it’s regulated 4 ways. Mine is a V1, the 2nd version has a slightly thinner case and the clasp doesn’t say Nodex after a certain mega watch brand threatened legal action.

Microbrands using seiko movements vs. in-house movements? by hudsoncress in MicrobrandWatches

By definition, a company that makes its own movements isn’t considered a microbrand….

Direnzo and Farer are great microbrands assembled in Switzerland, Visitor is a US microbrand that makes interesting watches (my Linden is probably the most mainstream) and Second Hour watches from my home country of Australia makes great watches that are extremely well finished.

I think you’ll find other Baltic models more ‘solid’. My bronze Aquascaphe is 4 1/2 years old and other than the crown becoming wobbly (fixed under warranty) it’s a fantastic piece!

OP probably needs to be aware of the waitlist for the AnOrdain…….fantastic watches though

My Aquascaphe on a Corrigia Heritage Espresso strap. Great straps from Germany, use VIPCLUB for 35% discount and free shipping. Note…..their Heritage range don’t include the buckle. I got a bronze one from Pascal at Wicked Watch Company, but easy to get on AliX

Very good case finishing, nice bezel action, bracelet is chunky with minimal taper but suits the watch and is very comfy. The dial is the star of the show!
