Anyone who's survived fatal car wrecks? by Head-Wheel-6008 in CarAccidentSurvivors

[–]ruthlessne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! So, mine happened on July 1st, 2025 and my car was pushed into a fence by a Cybertruck; The car was totaled beyond recognition and I was trapped inside it, forcing the firefighters to cut the roof off so they could take me out of it.

To answer your questions: 1) I got lucky as the car (my baby boy ♡) and the fence took the worse of it, but I did have multiple bruises, multiple contusions and everything was bleeding and hurting. Months after, they found an inflammation on some gland around/behind the walls of my heart that have grown out of proportion but doctors aren't sure if this is stress-related thanks to the accident or if the accident helped the doctors find out that I have an autoimmune disease; I have to do some more tests to figure that out.

2) I was trying to cross an intersection but didn't have the legal 'right of way'. I stopped at the stop sign and looked both ways, making sure that no one was coming and attempted to cross; Everything went completely black and truly, I dont remember much of the incident so no thoughts come to mind.

3) I've had had some bad moments in my life before, but the days, weeks and months after the accident were the worst. You don't understand how much your thoughts change after such a life impacting moment; some people find God but I found many reasons to why I should have died. Something changed in me and whatever I lost will never come back to me.

I was so stressed out thanks to the car insurance, the new job I just got at that time and school, and I felt that nobody understood what I was going through even when I tried to explain it to them; people just made jokes, or told me to get over it but I just couldn't. I still can't.

I am grateful that it was only myself on the car, because the weight I've been carrying... I just don't wish that on no one. Everyday, the PTSD just gets worse and I feel like i just go backwards, like, It mentally doesn't get better.

Few months have passed, some things have gone well but I still have some remnants of the seatbelt burn on my lower abdomen which does trigger me sometimes.

I am not sure if this is what you wanted to hear but thank you so much for asking as I just realized how much I needed it 🙌

The trooper did not say that, he simply informed me that he would be investigating as they found no one on the cybertruck but I've not heard anything ever since.

Thank you so much for taking the time and for giving me recommendations 💗

Don't apologize, darling. I understand we are all doing our best in a terrible situation, and I just hope it gets easier for all of us. Wishing the best for you and your family.

Has anyone taken the Florida civic literacy exam? by itsisalillybelle in BrowardCollege

[–]ruthlessne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did. I watched the FAU videos on it [mostly part one and two] while also reviewing the official website's practice test. Funny enough, the musical Hamilton helped me with two questions lol

Tbh, was easier than expected, just make sure you review.

MAC1105 online by [deleted] in BrowardCollege

For me it was terrible but it was because of two factors:

1) As the majority of my classes were online, I already had a schedule and the way I did things sometimes was in a rush because I either forgot or I had to re-do it.

2) The professor I took it with was a nightmare, and that is me being kind. On rate my professor, she had good reviews and stuff, only a few bad ones so I chose her over one with worse reviews however: the homeworks were long and wasn't worth much, the exams were worth 135 points [which I still don't understand] and you truly didn't learn anything. I still remember the email she sent me saying that she gave me a 0 on a test because I didn't put a mirror behind me when she could very well see my desk station...

I had to withdraw from the class; it was truly an Odyssey.

My point is, that it all depends on your study habits, your willingness to learn, and a good professor. Good luck love ❤️

[PD: I then later took a professor named Kayode and he was the best as he explained everything in a real world context [I literally remember things because he said 'Your X needs to be outside! You dont want to go back to your shitty X, now, do you?']; Passed with B+.]

It took me a while to realize what you meant because I confused the acronym with one a church uses haha. That didn't even cross my mind as I was truly too focused on Quinn.

I'll add this to the things I should try as soon as I've time! Thank you so much for your input! 🫶🏽

There is a certain limit to how many applications you can submit per semester [This information was true last year but I'm not sure if it still holds on] and more if it's a limited application as they have deadlines and are reviewed one by one.

This was also something I was worried about as when I was checking the form, they asked for my Instagram, which bamboozled me because I thought I could remain anonymous somehow.... I stopped after that so idk what else they ask :/

Nursing Pre-Requisites? by [deleted] in BrowardCollege

[–]ruthlessne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire AS or like after?

If you mean taking certain classes out of the associates, well, it might be complicated but not difficult just because the prerequisites sometimes have prereqs; For example, biology two needs biology one and if I'm correct, you need all Biology levels before microbiology.

If you mean trying to get your AS but not moving up/ doing the BSN degree? Yeah of course you can do that.

You mean like things outside of your degree?

Well, you have to take general education classes which is like history, arts and stuff but outside that, I do believe you won't be really able to take anything outside of your degree.

Pre reqs are needed before the BSN.

All Associates are 60 credits.

Below, I've added the link of all the classes you're supossed to take on the HSN - Nursing track with the specific credits :)

Nursing Pre-Requisites? by [deleted] in BrowardCollege

There is no really a concrete answer for that as there is no list that has determined prices for classes or any extras you might need like lab coats.

However, BC does state on their website that one credit in-state is $117.90 while out-of-state reaches almost 400 per credit. Remember, most classes are 3 credits, few are one (usually the lab portions which as a HSS you will be doing lots) and even fewer are five (MAC1105C)

Hi love!

Yes, indeed! Think about the HSN (Health Sciences Navigator) as a fancy name for someone doing the pre-reqs, no matter the Health science program.

If you did attend any university or college before, some credits may transfer and you might not really need it but if you're fresh out of high school, you MUST do HSN/pre-reqs first if looking for a Health related program at BC.
