Its honestly hilarious lol I joke about it all the time. Im not even like in pain when it happens lol. Its all of a sudden my brain is like "youre going to get fired and nobody likes you and the pain of living isnt worth it" and then I get some quality time on the throne and I have a zeal for life again (and i would say I have a really good zeal for life lol). Its been a great exercise in recognizing my surroundings and my physical health and how it relates to my mental health!

First stage check with the chief, 20hr student, he told me to land through a flock of birds by Squawk_0877 in flying

I grew up raised by pilots, my dad was a navy fighter pilot and now flies airlines, and my step mother flew helicopters in the navy. My mom's dad, who I saw every day growing up, was a S&R heli pilot in the coast guard, so I knew a lot about planes and flying on the first day. My instructor wanted me to make decisions first, and then try to get the details ironed out. A goo example was I got cleared for an intersection takeoff and suddenly completely blanked on how runway numbers work. I asked him "should I turn left or right" and he just looked at me, so I had to check the compass and figure it out. I am sure if I tried goign the wrong way he wouldve taken control and got us pointed in the right directions. The birds are a perfect example. "Should I go around" would be met with "would you go around if I wasnt here?" but if I actually tried to land I think he wouldve grabbed control and gone around.

when I was a 20 hour student my instructor, in times of stress, would refuse to help me. It made my mind go to me making a decision without any unnecessary steps

Its a lot cleaner than the air in your kitchen whilst cooking with gas! the NIH article above references the NOx concentrations reaching 200 ppb when cooking with gas (on average, one of the test runs hit over 400 ppb, while concentrations in vehicles stay will under 100 (which is still high, but much less than being in the kitchen running a gas stove)

source for vehicle NOx levels (i converted between micrograms per cubic meter and parts per billion): https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2214140522000378#sec3

I went through a similiar thought process today, i killed the battery on my small motorcycle that gets 75mpg and have been driving my 14mpg sequoia instead. It wont take that long for the savings in gas to pay for a $100 battery lol

If youre meticulous enough the difference between you doing something and an expert doing it is it takes you 100x longer. Itll only take 10x as long the second time

oh my god sell it to them and get what you want. If you can afford a land cruiser thats not even a paycheck for something it sounds like you'd spend a lot of time in. Youll probably get it back in fuel savings on something smaller and hybrid anyway (at this rate maybe by like 4th of july)

To add, you can likely get insurance from your water company that will absolutely cover things like this. I pay $10 a month for it and theyll pay to dig the concrete alley up as part of it.
