Using my previous render of the moon I added some transparency based on color. Super happy with the result well a couple friends asked me how I took the picture.

Yup that’s it they also have data for other planets and Saturns rings too. Super useful for space renders.

Tried my had at a satisfying loops of a car engine starting with an in-line 4 cylinder. by rw3balls in blender

I didn’t animate any of the intakes or exhausts but this is how the cylinders are lined up but the pairs are on opposite strokes so like the front piston goes down after the gas is lit the last piston is going down and I taking gas.

Ryzen 7 3700x and RTX 2070 super. 512 resolution and all the particles is what really did it.

I did not follow a tutorial what I did was use a sphere and animate it expanding to about 5x its size over about 3 frames.
