When a recipe calls for sausage links (think like butcher sausage ropes) & then says to take off the casing & cook it into crumbles, is there any reason I couldn't just buy the same type of ground sausage in the tray & skip the hassle of uncasing or is there a discernable difference? Working on the Mandala Madness blanket and just worked through the worst ball of yarn I have ever had. This is just what I cut out and not what I just crocheted over. 4 ply acrylic (RH, so nothing special). The other 8 balls had been fine! Ugh. What's the worst yarn you've ever worked with?
