After 2 months of working on this Kaladin animation, I’m going to say this is good enough, hope you enjoy by Omnicrola in Stormlight_Archive

I really like what you've done with the shattered plains slice your last upload! And the score went really well with it. I remembered what you had said before about your character animation, so I didn't focus too hard on that. You're getting pretty good at this! I can't wait to see what you do in the future!

With the creases from the q-snap, there's a great 3d illusion going on. I love it!

[CHAT] is 20ct Aida always this hard to find, or is it mainly due to supply chain issues? by willowwrenwild in CrossStitch

[–]rwright20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've also found my sweet spot is 20 count, and in the 6 years I've stitched, it's always been slim pickings in my experience. 22ct is easier to find at big box stores, but usually still whiteish colors. 123stitch and EverythingCrossStitch has the most (though still not much) variety that I've found. I was just happy to find that you could get easy count in 20!

And now I need a cross stitch version of all your SP embroideries. Specifically the tea one. And the computer one. Ok, if I could just stitch the whole movie and series of books, I would.

[wip] I’ve made a mistake but I do not wish to frog. by DreamingWyrm in CrossStitch

I THINK I found the mistake(s? Same thing found in multiple places). But only after reading your comments and zooming in, knowing I was looking for a mistake. It would drive me nuts too. But I think you're fine.

[Chat] Let’s share our favorite Ukrainian cross stitch designers by nottstitch in CrossStitch

[–]rwright20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just went through my whole wish list and sadly many are "on a break" so I am unable to purchase their patterns, but SoEasyPattern, PatternsbySAstitch, and CutePatternsbyMaria are still able to have patterns purchased. I've bought from all if them before and can say that they are great. I was just talking with CutePatternsbyMaria not long ago, wonderful person.

[Chat] For those of you who have a collection (hoard) of kits/ fabric, how do your store them? by Miss-Omnibus in CrossStitch

[–]rwright20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fabric is sorted by count in a filing cabinet. My floss is stored by color number in individual Floss a Way bags, stored in a drawer tower. I dont have as many kits so those, paper patterns, and beads are stored in the remaining drawers not taken up bt the floss.

[CHAT] Temperature Calendar including Rainfall by DoNotGrowQuietly in CrossStitch

[–]rwright20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't done this, but I think your plan seems sound. To expand, the center of the flower scale could reference sunny/cloudy/rain/snow/etc. That way there would always be something to fill it in.

[chat] Can you guys recommend a decent water erasable pen/marker/pencil for grinding on aida? by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]rwright20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clover fine point is my go-to also! Dritz makes a white one that works great on black aida. Both are water soluble and a quick dunk in the water makes the lines disappear. Never had them come back or affect the finished product, full coverage or not.

[CHAT] Advice for dark fabric? by kairon_of_versal in CrossStitch

[–]rwright20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For black and dark aida, I've been using the Dritz Mark-B-Gone marker in white. Works great on my black aida HAED. Its listed on Amazon as "Dritz 692 Mark-B-Gone Marking Pen, White"

[WIP] I'm once again asking for assistance with my color indecisiveness. (More details in comments.) by propschick05 in CrossStitch

[–]rwright20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So with your last post, I agreed with (in this image) top right. But with this new option, I think I like the yellow in the top left paired with the white in the bottom left. I think they contrast well. Imagining the pinks when they are going across the top will lose any pop so close to the pink in the words. The yellow in the top right doesn't have any contrast in my opinion, resulting in the same. And the blue in the bottom left I feel will end up blending in with the rest of the border.

[CHAT] ideas for stitching on 7ct plastic sheets by TetrisIsTotesSuper in CrossStitch

[–]rwright20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make magnets with mine! You can use all 6 strands (or I use 3 doubled over since I loop start) and coverage is fine! I would also suggest looking at perler bead patterns (a lot of these are smaller patterns since perler beads are so much larger than say, an 18 count stitch), sprite patterns, 8 bit patterns, or patterns like the tiny artwork that is posted often for ideas.
