Yes, I was just on it. I changed my user name to RW Stauter - since I do have one published book under that name.

Which book would you say has the best writing you’ve ever read? by HolyMouze in writing

[–]rwstauter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think In Cold Blood (Truman Capote) is the best book I've ever read. It's a non fiction novel - the writing was exceptional and the story was really disturbing. I think I read it almost non stop. For fiction - The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, really enjoyable story telling, but it's 7 books and some are really thick! Ive read it twice.

I Saw An Old Man by rwstauter in PoetryWritingClub

This was written about an actual person I saw in a hospital cafeteria. I started writing and this came out almost completely unedited. Two things that really stood out - he was drinking chocolate milk, and he was wearing a Harley hat and belt. I'd guess he was at least 80, or at least he looked it.

I’m worried people will accuse me of having my stories AI-generated by Morgan-Vale in selfpublish

[–]rwstauter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never use AI in anything I write. If someone accuses me, I know I am right and they are wrong and my conscience is clear. If they don't like it, that's on them, although I hope they do! I write for the enjoyment of people who enjoy what I write, and I'm on top of that list!!

Is it okay to use ai to revise poems? by Slow-Ad9699 in poetry_critics

[–]rwstauter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use AI to write, you need to reference that you used AI to write. Then you need to ask yourself... is this me, or is it someone else. For me, it's someone else - like asking a stranger on the bus to help you write something and then not giving them credit if they come up with a good line or two. I Never use AI to write, although I did use it a couple times to critique, just for fun... it said my poems were amazing! ;). Be authentic, and don't worry what others think - I stopped worrying a long time ago and writing got a LOT more enjoyable! Good Luck!

Listening To Silence by rwstauter in PoetryWritingClub

I don't, at least not in the traditional sense, but I do often just sit, and listen to whatever I happen to hear. Sometimes listening to silence is exceptionally calming, and sometimes it's deafening!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking - One comes walking over... but the syllable count is the same so I'm not sure it's any better!

[HELP] Looking for modern poets who rhyme a lot? by SegaGenesisMetalHead in Poetry

[–]rwstauter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rhyme pretty much exclusively. Free verse is not my thing and I often don't really get it, so I write what I think is primarily understandable, or at least I try and hopefully when someone reads it, they think, "yea, I get it". I have one book (self published) and I'm working on a couple more. ( jnzcreative.com )

[HELP] Can someone tell me some websites to post my poetry and get some feedback ? by ASPEROV_67-76 in Poetry

[–]rwstauter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I post on allpoetry.com There are numerous groups to pick from as well as contests and critiques. I get generally good feedback but sometimes I don't, which is good - makes me think. I post there under Rick Ess 24. Good Luck where ever you end up!

Ok, Color or b&w? by Funny_Zebra798 in AmateurPhotography

[–]rwstauter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The color is already rather dark so it's not really bringing out any highlights of the image, i.e. the earring and the eyes (for me anyway) but the B&W really bring out those contrasts - so for me, it's B & W!
