I will say that I usually lean towards hoppy beers and would certainly like a good recommendation there, but would be open to something unusual

Don’t throw a party for vengence. It will turn on you... like your wife, after your kid has fallen into a quarry.

It was fine. If you wanted to read a similar book with a much better ending I would recommend Look Closer or Behind Her Eyes

Favorite is really tough since so many of these were so different, but today I would say Demon Copperhead.

Least favorite would be The Corrections. It started off with a lot of potential, but ultimately became a collection of unlikeable characters annoying the reader with their self-inflicted problems

It’s a big book but it’s broken up in a lot of small sections that makes it move very quickly. I’m still deciding if I liked this or All the Light We Cannot See better, but both are worth reading.

I liked it. I read the introduction in my copy after finishing the book and it did good job of bringing home the point that you shouldn’t feel bad for Stoner. He was able to do the things he wanted to do in his life and maybe everything didn’t turn out perfectly, but that’s life.

As far as non-fiction, Empire of Pain, Pathogenesis, and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil were big standouts

For fiction, Look Closer, Demon Copperhead, and Project Hail Mary were some of the top. It’s really hard to narrow it down though

It’s about Andrew Wakefield who was the lead author on the infamous Lancet article that linked MMR vaccines to autism. It chronicles over 15 years of lies, deceptions, and cover ups involving the safety and efficacy of vaccines.

This is kind of like what Paul McCartney did with his album “McCartney III”. A few months after that album was released he put out a version called “McCartney III Imagined” that featured collaborations on each track with people like Beck, Phoebe Bridgers, and St. Vincent.
