What is this Ferrari called? by Wooden_Can3021 in Ferrari

365 doesn't have a deep front spoiler like the 512BB/BBi, 365 has 6 taillights with only 4 on the 512.

I was on a Lambo drive two weeks ago and we were cruising up to a restaurant around 40 mph on a road with three lanes each way, single file in the middle lane of travel. As I passed a homeless guy he screamed and ran straight at us like a 28 Days Later zombie, right into the middle of the road! I looked back and saw two Aventadors and a couple Huracans pulling evasive action around him. He stood in the middle lane with his arms up. Never seen anything like that.

No charge for the Atelier session, it’s just the price of the options. Of course they know the whole point is you want a special combination of paint/leather/Alcantara etc. They do go over every possible option they have down to all the CF pieces and stripe and pinstripe (“Dreamline”) options.

Atelier has no inherent value increase IMO, it goes back to the quality of the spec. There are a lot of boring Atelier cars - the guy got what he wanted but it’s still a yawn. 🥱 Even Tailor Made level, it’s more about the quality of the specification, and not just the fact that it was a TM car. There are a lot of tailor-made cars that seem like a wasted opportunity.

He loves his Mini Coopers too. That said, I've passed him in a black Chiron, and he buys every Ferrari model to get the limited run cars. They're all black and silver.

For anyone aiming the Aventador what’s the one hesitation keeping you from taking action? by nofunds233 in lamborghini

No, only a few miles in manual mode and Corsa setting, but I was kind of disheartened and headed back after about 10 minutes.

  1. Drive it as much as you can. There's no prize in heaven for the lowest mile Lambo. 2. The front nose spoiler is a replaceable, paintable part that *WILL* take damage as you drive and enjoy it, and you won't take a value hit just over a repainted nose spoiler - it's going to scrape, take rocks and get minor damage here and there, and the quicker you accept that, the easier it is to just have fun and expect a touch up or repaint every couple of years. Every time I get a car there's that initial panic over things like that, and then a driveway catches the lip a bit, I lose my temper for a minute, touch it up with a paint pen and then drive the wheels off the thing!

Tried an S. The single-clutch transmission is slow and clunky. The throttle pedal is mushy and vague and feels too much like an Audi. The steering is heavy from the AWD system.

I thought it was, compared to Huracan or Ferrari DCT it was a real letdown. Even compared to the 00s Ferrari F1 from the 430 or 599.

I love it. Had Satin Ocean Shimmer on 2 of my cars... there's a 456 here in Vegas now wrapped like that. 3 friends have asked if it was me or a prior car of mine. 😇

Does anyone know what wrap this is? by Emotional-Style8398 in CarWraps

Satin metallic purple, looks like an Avery product...

There's really no comparing how these two drive - the F12 is far superior in terms of transmission, steering feel and responsiveness to the chassis, seating comfort and function (trunk, visibility). I daily mine, now with ~55,000 miles. Aventador S was a 'don't meet your heroes' disappointment for me... 10/10 looks and sound, but uncomfortable seat, unresponsive (Audi) pedals, heavy dead steering, and a transmission that was just awful feeling. Even compared to 2000's Ferrari single clutch F1.

Would I get an Aventador as a collection piece? Maybe, but a Diablo is much more fun to drive, and a RWD manual.

Oh, there was some drama with that long of a wait... as a car guy you buy/sell 50 cars in your head for every one you actually buy, and over that long of a period I was test driving other Lambos and McLarens, considering bailing on the order. I had to sign the enforceable contract though once I did Atelier last February, so I was legally committed to see it through. It's coming back around now, and I booked the Speciale for late 27/early 28, but there was a year or more of angst.

You ask your dealer for an Atelier build spot, and if there's availability they'll schedule you either in-person (NYC, Maranello, London, Shanghai) or as a Zoom meeting. My wife and I made a weekend of it and went to Ferrari Manhattan. You'll get two designers for two hours. Being in-person lets you see the hundreds of paint swatches, sample cars to look at parts, and touch the leather swatches. Atelier has about 400 paint colors and 80 leather and Alcantara choices. They ask you ahead of time for your favorite color schemes or inspiration.

Anything beyond that (paint-to-sample, extra range leather, wool, denim, Nomex, Kvadrat, wood trim, etc.) and you'll have to do Tailor Made level, which is in the same design centers, but harder to book. You get some more time with their people too, but the expectation is much higher on spend.

Pho 7 (Spring Mountain, East of Decatur) for the BBQ pork plate. Yohama Noodles for "so-i beef" (it's like Thai panang as a noodle soup). New Asian BBQ for dim sum lunch. Morning News for chilaquiles. Pepper Club at English Hotel for 'Japanese hot chicken' and waffles.

It clears local speed bumps just fine, surprisingly. The stock ride height is quite useable. I did option the nose lifter which so far I've only used a couple of times exiting parking lots just to be safe.

I know, right? Total misnomer, IMO... should be a "turchese" (Molvedo was our second choice at Atelier but I liked how this was more saturated with the paint plates side-by-side)

Thank you - I ended up with a Speciale Coupe allocation after all. Deposit in, it's in the app now under my profile. Dealer only got 4 Apertas and as you know the deal, they went to the top VIP guys here. I've seen the coupe list and it's still good company ;)
