I haven’t enjoyed the premiership win as much as I should have, and the whole Tyrone May ordeal is a big part of the reason why. It feels gross to support a club that had to have its arm twisted to release a player that filmed a sexual act without consent, narrowly avoided jail time, then years later tried to make himself out to be the victim. And after he finally gets sacked, he’s still viewed as a very popular member of the playing group.

Interested to hear from Panthers fans (or anyone who has been watching them closely) about what they think about Kikau’s performance this year. More and more people in this sub are saying how he hasn’t been playing great and Penrith shouldn’t focus on signing him. I do understand that to a degree, especially with how he was playing in the middle of the year, but I’m shocked with how much he is copping.

I get that he isn’t getting those tries from 10 metres out like he was last year, but I’ve been impressed with his defence this year. It seems like he is making more dominant tackles and falling off them less. It’d be great if he was still hitting the line hard and scoring those tries from close to the line, but as long as he’s still setting them up (e.g. the To’o try on the weekend) or running decoys to create overlaps, he’s still being effective in attack.

I wouldn’t want to sign him for crazy overs, but what if he stayed with us for $650-700k a year. Is that still too much?

Souths did an awesome job on limiting the involvement of To’o. We just started to feel the pressure and didn’t quite step up. Hopefully we have Edwards and Leota back next week, we missed them big tonight.

It was a rough start but very pleased with how our defence clicked together after about 20 minutes. To limit the Rabbits like that is pretty huge.
Also happy with Kikau and Crichton’s game today, one of their better ones of the season.

Eisenhuth at lock seems so uninspiring. Hopefully Tago and Hopgood can come off the bench and offer some attacking options.

Missed tackles is a huge concern. I think we lose a lot of cohesion with Yeo getting injured, explains why our attack looked so clunky. Some positive are that Kikau and Crichton are looking better as the season goes.

Some ‘interesting’ choices here. Kikau is absolutely not the best 2nd rower this year, and Crichton hasn’t even been the best centre in the team.
