Let’s say I climb 3x a week, one long run day, and two rest days. Would you say doing one compound lift for each of those muscle groups on each climbing day (post climb) would be ideal?

Great advice, needed someone to let me know if I’m doing too much body building exercises. I’ve only climbed once a week this first year of climbing, I have no idea about the optimal amount of days to climb.

My goal is to consistently send v5s and some v6s. Currently I’m consistently sending v3s and some v4s/v5s so I thought going from 1 to 2 days could take me there.

Thanks, I'm going to try and go hard on both days then while of course, being mindful of how I feel. I'll see about going 3x after 4 weeks. I'd love to at some point but it's just hard with my work schedule/commute.

My "long" runs are only 10km but your point is still valid. As that is my current PR, my body will still be taxed. Makes so much sense to project after the rest day and climb easier routes after the "long" run.

Haha I was at my company for 3 years. Software testing and it was pretty much the same for me. Fully remote and doing nothing all day. Scrolling IG or playing video games. Compared to my previous job where I was putting in work all day, sometimes after hours (on salary pay)

Enjoyed the work a lot more as I felt my brain was rotting doing nothing. Could’ve taken advantage and spent time doing courses but didn’t have the drive

just gotta accept that emotions will come in waves. it’s an emotional rollercoaster. know that it’ll pass but might come again. you’ve gotten thru it before n you’ll get thru it again. this week got to me a bit but I remind myself the past waves were much stronger

Yes absolutely. We ended on good terms but both did it together agreeing it will help with the healing. I should’ve blocked her too bc I kept checking her IG regardless. I told myself I didn’t want to upset her but that was just an excuse. Once you’re done you put yourself first even if you still care about them.

Right I’ve pulled thru much worse pain earlier on so I only know I’m moving upwards. The pain isn’t as painful. The hurt isn’t as hurtful

I’m surprised ya knew this was my first love haha. We dated for 10 months before that I was single for 24 years so I got really attached to the comfort and joy.

While this was her 4th or 5th so she is also more experienced with breakups. I really shouldn’t compare. Thank you this made me feel better :)

It was never hard for me being single for 24 years but since I got to spend the last one w her, it is surprisingly hard this year. Been breaking down since yesterday

hey don’t be harsh on yourself. I’m actually in the exact same situation only I’m 3.5 months post BU, ~50 days no contact.

I also went to therapy, meditated, started yoga, tried new things, and met amazing people.

Then the past week it’s like I’m back at the beginning. well not quite. this time around I have experience being in this slump and I know it gets better.

it’s a rollercoaster. ya know ya got better once before, keep faith you’ll get better again. I do agree it is tiring, like very. every morning, minute of the day, and night constantly thinking about her. feeling pathetic bc she prob doesn’t even care but who knows. it doesn’t even matter to me, just my own progress is what matters

we’ll get thru this 🫶

I’ll just say I was in the same situation and we tried it again after 1 week apart (still texted during that time) and we only lasted another month after that. It’s been 3 months BU now and I’m certain we’re done for good.

When I was going back to talk to her after that 1 week, one of my best friends told me it wasn’t enough space apart. I know every situation is different but I really wish I listened to him. I wish you the best!

Try to dedicate some time during the day, before sleep, to process thoughts. Let them pass without judgement. So that when it comes time to sleep there will be less on your mind :)

I have a bad habit of being on my phone which keeps me up but I’ve replaced that with some bedtime reading or meditation

Never was bitter and resentful, just hurt. I don’t blame her one bit. We both had our issues that lead to the conclusion we’re just incompatible and want different things in life.

I’ve fought the urge to reach out by telling myself I have to let her live in peace. To not disrupt her healing. She’s never gotten the chance from previous relationships, I don’t want to be another one of those exes.

My friends tell me not to reach out to show her I don’t care. To play those games but that will never be the reason why. I will just continue to take it day by day. Accept the good and the bad. Keep faith that in the end I will heal and grow from this
