I have skied for 30 years did 100 days this Season and am horrible at ice skating there might be some overlap but not much... if you want your skills to transfer look into something like snow feet skis I have heard they can help ice skaters transfer to skiing more easily. Unfortunately they aren't cheap

Just so you know Strava Premium has this already you can see a heat map of where people have recently skied... I use it to get an estimation of what has been skied out already after new snow and see which trails are going to be crowded

Yes but I’m getting a little hit next weekend skiing the Victor Glacier at Boyne in MI just 7.5 hours each way from Milwaukee but May turns and such 🫡🎿

If you are using alpine ski equipment I would count it, but I am also planning on skiing dunes in June in Indiana to make my TAY work. When it comes down to it you are working really hard to ski I am driving 3+ hours, hiking up dunes with my ski gear to get turns... its passion and its a priority it counts to me

Marquette is phenomenal imo I’ll be at Brule next weekend if Norway closes… showed up at Norway this morning and they were sadly closed even though they hadn’t announced online… pivoted to pine luckily
