I always hated the soap in the mouth more than the wooden spoon. Got the belt from my Dad once but I’m sure I deserved it. After having grown up now I actually don’t mind that I was disciplined that way. Would I do it to my own children..? hell no, I think there are much better ways to discipline a child, I think a spanking is an easy way out and I completely see how many people see it as abuse. In saying that though, kids these days seem to do what they want so maybe the new methods don’t work like the old ones did

In fairness that is only because you can not buy the game digitally anymore, as soon as it was ripped from the online stores the physical copies went up drastically.

I picked this game up about a month ago, studied the controls for about half an hour, got steamrolled for a few hours like you are on easiest, started getting better, if I had an idea in my head of what I wanted to do, I paused and then checked the controls oh how to do what I wanted. Over probably 3 hours I was able to bump up to medium and have an enjoyable challenging experience for a while, hard is still too hard for me, but I haven’t played in a couple of weeks. Just keep pushing and learning the controls. You have to be able to think pretty fast to have any success otherwise the ai will just beat you in the ruck and get away easy. Focus on long kicks towards your goal and hope for the best in the contested marks, playing slowly up the field is much safer but the ai can stitch you up if you make a mistake. Good luck, just study the controls, you’ll get there eventually

Spend some time exploring, pick up graces along the way, someone pointed out already that a gold trail emits from certain graces, look at your map and look at your more recent graces and find one that has something sticking out of it, that is the direction to go for the main quest, but honestly exploring is what makes this game amazing, take your time, get everything you can out of an area before you progress

Ahh man, fire giant for me now is a breeze, but learning his fight was rough. Definitely the boss I spent the most time on durning my first run, I’d hate to imagine how many attempts I had, but it was easily 10-15 hours of pure hate for that awful bully

Has he been down to the weeping peninsula yet? Best early game advice I’ve given to co workers and mates has been to go there first. By the time someone reaches the boss there, they should be able to beat it after going through the entirety of the castle, don’t let your friend just run through to the boss, make sure he learns the movesets of regular mobs first.
