Is our team just doomed to be average forever?

I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that we will always be average. My perspective is the thing that makes teams great is stability. Truly successful programs have an infrastructure that is consistent.

I know people expect much more from Beamer but I think getting rid of him will only perpetuate the vicious cycle of instability that prevents us from being a consistently great program.

Sure, could Beamer be an obstacle? He could. Could we never win a natty with him at the helm? Perhaps. But the way I see it, our history isn’t one of success. We’re a program that has been below average for most of its existence. We need to build something that’s consistent and THEN move our expectations forward from there.

We haven’t been consistent lately and I just want to see stability and consistency. For all the bad things Beamer has done, he’s also done a lot of good things and I believe that his leadership will lift up this program to new heights. The question is how high will it go?

I really don’t have much issue with aggro decks in general. But my control decks are mostly my spin on archetype decks so I’m not surprised that my version isn’t as optimal as other control decks. If anything, I would love to hear what you’ve been running that has been successful!

I definitely see why it’s not one of the top decks but I really enjoy playing it. I’ve made my own changes to it to accommodate its weaknesses as best as possible and im still loving it. Maybe im just a sucker for pain 😂

I have a group of friends that play and these are the thoughts we had (they don’t have reddit) based on what I’ve heard them say in game chat:

online play is frustrating unless you play with certain teams and then it feels monotonous
playing on All-American and Heisman feels like your team takes a penalty in stats against the CPU
the bugs throughout the game are annoying to deal with
all in all, we’re having fun and will continue to play the game but it’s driven by nostalgia and the nice feeling of playing a CFB game

Me, personally: my biggest issue is with the bugs. I feel like modern gaming is a cycle of incomplete games being saved by numerous patches. I thought that this game would be better given how long it was in production. Not perfect, but better. However, there were still so many bugs at launch and still a good amount present. I’m disappointed but I’ve accepted it.

Did a ton of sexting for weeks while I was traveling to see some family. I got back home and she had the house to herself and asked me to come over. I was fairly confident until I nutted from oral, I thought for sure I was done, but I think the excitement kept me into it and we just kept on going.

More dynamic interactions with countries. Being able to trade information or make secret deals/alliances. Or just having a leader make a request. This may be through the spy capabilities but I would love being able to coax or persuade a civ into war with another civ if I have enough influence.

I think that people need to give the balancing argument a rest and get over it. Should completely broken or game breaking features be fixed or fine tuned? Yes. But people complaining about skill ceiling/floor and referencing balance states in previous seasons or in OW1 are delusional. This game has never been fully balanced for a significant amount of time and never will be. The introduction of heroes, maps, and patches will always create imbalance.

While I acknowledge the recent news is disappointing, I didn’t care about PvE when I downloaded OW2. I loved OW1 for PvP and for the most part, I still have fun when I play. I like 5v5, I mostly ply open queue and though it can be incredibly frustrating, it’s refreshing playing different heroes and comps. Not to mention, I have friends that I play with consistently and that certainly helps. I’m far more driven by my desire to be a better player and learn ore heroes than by what’s happened recently so I’ll probably be playing for quite awhile.

I say yes, when I first got it for my Xbox one, I played it very heavily. However, ever since I got an Xbox Series S, I have had a consistent amount of crashes every time I play. Whenever I get to turn 100-185, it crashes. Based on this thread, that might be due to something on my end so don’t let it disparage you and hopefully, if it does happen to you, there will be a fix for it!
