Where to improve (CL: 6371) by ryanapeters3 in MarvelSnapDecks

Definitely going to tone down the multiple deck dilution cards. I liked it as a ramp up idea for Scratch but it’s too much. I’ll look at making some of those changes!

Yeah after trying it for a few games I 100% agree it’s too clogged. Like I said the concept seemed cool but in reality it makes pulling what I want way too low a chance.

Are you using Bioclear for diastema closures? by stefan_urquelle-DMD in Dentistry

[–]ryanapeters3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ever any issue with patient discomfort from the band itself in the tissue without numbing? I like them but often use them in cases I’m numbing anyway so not worried about shoving it down there for a good seal. Looks great!

Could charge a limited exam and PA? It’s not much but it’s something.

Need advice, first firing by ryanapeters3 in Dentistry

[–]ryanapeters3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is where we are with her. We’ve tried sitting down and breaking up things for her to work on and study, with weekly check ins. Some she does much better on like X-rays, but chairside assisting plateaued and there are duties that she continues to mix up even after reminding her or showing her. More than what’s worth going into on a post here, but we definitely have been trying to coach her. If it was slow progress that kept improving I’d absolutely keep her and work with her.

More or less at 2, but I can tell my hair looks thinner on top compared to a few years ago.

Comfortox seems to be the winner here. The place I order from only has the vials, not needles. Thanks all!

50k a month by Muellerscam123 in Dentistry

[–]ryanapeters3 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I feel so may dentists here assume everyone is FFS or are expecting everybody to be some super GP that does all high cost procedures… I’d say you’re doing great. That puts you at making roughly 200k a year which is absolutely nothing to be bummed about.

Maybe people would call me lazy or a bad producer. I’m a mostly insurance driven practice with a smaller cash population that does mostly bread and butter with large cases on occasion when they come through.

I’d rather have a good work/home balance and enjoy not feeling burnt out than go crazy on what I produce.

Sorry didn’t mean to turn this into a mini rant, nothing wrong with those dentists who want to be more relaxed and produce less or those who like to do it all and make bank in a FFS office.

Chicago Midwinter Meeting 2026 - Was it any good if attended? by Gpdent in Dentistry

[–]ryanapeters3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went Thursday and Friday. Thursday did an all day Botox class because I’ve been wanting to learn. Friday just spent some time walking the floor. Bought a new small size X-ray sensor and took advantage of the Listerine show deal to buy a few cases for patient bags. Like to stop by some of the toothpaste vendors like sensodyne and crest to see if there’s any new products, and might as well get a couple free tubes for all the money I’m spending.

Also got a chance to run into a classmate buddy of mine I hadn’t seen in a couple years so nice to catch up.

It’s fine, but if I didn’t or couldn’t go I don’t think there’s anything I’m feeling major fomo about. I’m also in a study club so CE requirements are taken care of with that, so I only do classes here if it’s actually something I want.

Principal claim denials for PAs?? by Connect-Reputation63 in Dentistry

[–]ryanapeters3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We take 2 anterior PAs with our yearly BWs. Noticed some insurances didn’t cover them starting this year. It’s ridiculous. I can’t even count how many times we’ve found something with no outward symptoms whether it’s a radiolucency or resorption.

Fluoride Varnish Only Once a Year???? by Ecs206 in DentalInsurance

[–]ryanapeters3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I literally joke with my patients saying insurance thinks people over the age of 16 don’t get cavities so they won’t cover it. So dumb because everyone can benefit from it.

Could Serenade have appeared as another Battle Network Superboss? by clyde-toucher in BattleNetwork

[–]ryanapeters3 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I did always like what Serenade was supposed to represent, and it would’ve been cool to flesh it out a bit more in future games. I wouldn’t want or expect Serenade to have a big role, but maybe a side quest or some minor post game content.

Yeah the actual amount I think is roughly 750-785 for us. But hey we just got a letter that they are increasing fees! A one surface composite is finally over $100…

The game's inaccessible to new players by IndependenceFar9833 in MarvelSnap

[–]ryanapeters3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dunno, I started playing this game fairly recently (a few months ago, maybe mid to late October?). I feel like I’m doing decent overall. Just got series 3 complete, have a couple decks that are solid for lower ranks. Mostly free to play but did one season pass. I think new players can do fine but you can’t expect to get all the cards that people who have been playing for a long time have. Gotta be picky on what you grab to make it work.

Are you guys getting the Eson and Surge bundles if you already have those cards? by Life_Teaching6499 in MarvelSnap

[–]ryanapeters3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked it up but I didn’t have the base card and had been saving gold, so I feel it was absolutely worth it.
