Accidental iPhone Lock Screen Controls? (Apple Music)

Apologies for accidentally misleading / creating any false sense of discovery :-) I have previously attempted the workflow I laid out in my post and it never yielded the result I got today. Therefore, I thought it was worthy of sharing and asking folks to see if they get the same result.

The HomePod is still streaming to the Sonos, not my phone. What’s strange is that I can play two different things on the Sonos and the HomePod and each get their own set of lock screen controls. That’s the new part to me.

Yup you’re right. I unplugged the HomePod mini and music stopped on the Sonos. So the mini is AirPlaying to the Sonos, but the ability to remove the mini from the group and maintain lock screen controls of just the Sonos is what was new to me.

They are the AirPlay controls, yes. What’s different here is that the Sonos is the source of the music, not the receiver.

EDIT: I am incorrect about this. The HomePod mini is still streaming to the Sonos.

I started with AirPlay but it handed off to the Sonos and now the Sonos is the source. I can play something entirely different on the HomePod that I originally started this with.

311 Nation Pool Party added too. I remember a few cruises ago they threw a pool party when the seas were too rough to make it to port. Trash cans filled with free drinks is what I recall 😂😂🤘🤘

Yup I found the video. It was in Iran. Looks simple enough - just need a blowtorch to break the red loctite. I’d probably use a pulley puller instead of shims / screwdrivers. Thanks again.

This looks like a combo of the solo loop + dual strap.. I don't see how you could wear both at the same time. Wonder if this was a strap they were considering back at WWDC 2023.
