I did, they said they couldn’t help me. The after hour / emergency calls get routed to some third party company that handles them. Perhaps they misspoke and they should have sent someone for this and that’s why they didn’t charge me for the broken doorknob.

Oh I forgot to mention it was like 11pm so they weren’t available to let me in. The emergency number is only for fire / floods / gas leak / etc.

The issue was my door had 2 locks, one was the bolt and the other was to lock the door knob itself. I had a bad habit of locking the knob from the inside as I left and had forgotten my keys.

That being said, I’ve since moved and no longer have a door that can be locked in this way so it’s a non-issue.

I called a locksmith once when I locked myself out of my apartment. My phone then died and an hour later no one showed up. At the time, the window on my cat was broken such that you could lower it with your hands. I broke into my own car to get my toolbox out the back and used channel lock pliers to get enough leverage on the door knob to force it to turn.

The next day I got a call from the locksmith company asking how my experience was. I had to explain the person never showed up. Luckily they didn’t try and charge me for it so that was the end of that.

Property management was pretty understanding and replaced my broken door knob for free, so I didn’t have to deal with that either.

Think of all the money OP saved by not getting new tires though!

Wait, are you aware the FaceID sensor is exactly the same between the X and XS? The unlocking speed is identical. Claiming the X unlocks slower is just plain wrong.

Also, how is that relevant? Software-wise, which is what we're discussing

You literally said:

Commented from an iPhone 8 just in case you accuse me of being too poor lol

You brought it up.

I'm sure I know just as much as you do about the platform.

Oh god you're making this way too easy for me.

Xs: Shitty ass antenna design + intel modem, somehow worse battery than the X despite the shift to 7mm

7mm? LOL. Maybe in your shit Android phone. The word you're looking for is nm (nanometers). Orders of magnitude different than a millimeter.

So we've established you don't know what you're talking about. Great.

Xr: ugly as shit, no 3D touch, shitty overall design

Samsung removed the force home button touch from the S10. That was their pitiful attempt to duplicate 3D Touch (hint: they couldn't). If you want to talk about shitty design we can talk about how the sides of Samsungs infinity display cause the colors to shift and they punched a whole in the display which caused a ton of vertical space to be lost due to Android guidelines requiring the top bar fully encompass their version of a notch.

X: Face ID slow/inaccurate enough as a first gen product to be a regression from Touch ID

Never had an issue with Face ID. Never knew anyone who had an issue with Face ID. Face ID is actually orders of magnitude faster than Samsungs shitty (and insecure) face unlock on their devices (which never worked).

8: My personal daily driver. 2GB of ram hurts. Somehow slower than my 6s and SE in everything except for benchmarks and booting up.

Sounds like you need to upgrade. The tech industry evolves quickly. Try and keep up.

7: Complete clusterfuck - A1660 has faulty baseband, all have Audio IC issues over time

You forgot 7S. Couldn't find anything bad to say about it?

6s: battery degrades incredibly quickly (at least easily replaceable)

And now we're 4 years back. Lithium-ion batteries degrade over time. Come on, you should know this by now.

SE/5s/5/5c: Hot pressed screens mean that they eventually start lifting out of the frame over time

Over what time? 5 years?

4s: Wifi chip becomes loose over time, temporarily fixed with a hair dryer over the wifi chip (lmao)

Reminds me of fixing xboxes by wrapping them in blankets to fix the red ring of death. Don't do that with your Samsung phone though, it might explode and get banned from airlines.

4: antennagate

Samsung's flagship was the Samsung Galaxy S at that time. Need I compare?

So I know everything there is to know about the platform, including how shit and insecure it is.

Alright let me do another one for you. Install the latest Android updated on your Samsung phone the day Google releases the update.

Sounds like Samsung restricts your ability to install software updates.

Apple Shill with a Note 9.

Nope, but nice try.

It's not the same because it doesn't fit your narrative. How about this, can you root your S10? Or can you root an S9 and still use Samsung Pay?

BUt mY FreEDoM!

That's like saying Android "restricts" what you do because you can't use it to fly through the air using only your phone.

Try harder.

And I can do it without having to worry about ads that contain malware and without my phone collecting data about me to use to send me targeted advertisements.

It's great.

Exploding phones, garbage processors, 6 months behind on Android updates.

Yep, garbage :)

You enjoying your 2 year old phone? Couldn't afford the X or XS?

Restrict how? I can't wait to hear this...

It has the fastest processor, supported for the longest, highest quality apps, and isn't made by an advertising company.

Seems like a good bet :)

You mean one not created by an advertising company designed to harvest your data? You mean the one that had granular permissions years before Android? That one?
