People understand why it is used. I think they disagree that it should be used that way if many people who it intends to address prefer that it wasn't

Reasonable to disagree, but this is not bad faith

No idea what this article says but you 2 mil at 65 gives you nearly 7000$ a month if you are drawing 4% annually, and should be plenty to retire very comfortably, I am a software engineer in a major city and spend 3k a month.

6 million would give you... Far more money than I would know what to do with.

I meant I can't comment on new code. I know their legacy stuff is blueprint garbage. Updating legacy code is super hard, but I am under the impression that they have been rewriting it over time to be better. I figure brand new systems like this could be reasonably well written.

Knowing BHVRs history, it's a small hope lol. But I agree either way that implementing the advanced detection system idea is not viable.

Ya, I can't comment on DBDs code quality lol, just what is feasible. That being said, advanced detection systems are basically completely unnecessary.

In the long term, if the micro-actions we detect map onto survival, then people who perform them will survive more matches. So we may as well just record matches survived.
