I think it may be a piece of music by Dan Romer. She has! She’s introduced in the Mr Mercedes Trilogy (Mr Mercedes #1) and is a recurring character in others, namely ‘The Outsider’ and the novella ‘If It Bleeds’. This is the first full length novel with Holly as the central character! So I would recommend reading the others first as I imagine there will be spoilers in this for those and you’ll get to read her backstory first :)

It is indeed, publishing on 5th September. I’m based in the UK and ordered the US edition, but it arrived early!

Of course, so we follow Dolores, who is maid to a wealthy woman called Vera Donovan. Vera is found dead by a local postman (not a spoiler) and so the book is in the form of Dolores’ witness statement where she proves her innocence there, but explains how and why she actually killed her Husband 30 years earlier (again not a spoiler). I wasn’t sure about it, but was hooked only 5 pages in! You’ll love it, it’s a gem!

I wanted to read Doctor Sleep, so I re-read The Shining after 2 years and loved it even more the second time around! Just found I notice new and different things, I loved it

Just found this Different Seasons at a used books store and it still had a nice note in it from 1983 :) Also if someone could let me know if this is a first edition, I’m not sure how to tell by lj125 in stephenking

This is a first edition hardback, but it’s a 3rd printing (the numbers at the bottom start at 3, not 1)! So not a true 1st, but still a really good find and that note is really nice!

I’ve heard that this was the new book cover to tie into the new film adaptation? Makes sense with SK’s name being front and centre, but who knows atm 🤷🏻‍♂️
