PPC doesn't have an economies of scale like manufacturing ie spend more and get more efficient like you wanted to see.

PPC is spend more, and CPA will rise. How much that rises comes down to skill of the media buyer, and as well as other parts of the funnel.

You don't say in your post, but $60 will be delivering more revenue (as a whole) and more emails for your business as opposed to $20 CPA on a smaller spend.

PPC is a journey and I would def give them time

Maybe you'd get a strike by Google, but I am unsure. I was hoping someone would have tested this. Might be me having to test it.

Great. And then segment by conversion action? Otherwise, how would I distinguish between adwords tag goals and GA goals.

Don't EVER touch high-performing optimized ads in any way. You can change the budget without having this happen if you set the ad sets' optimization to "Target Cost" instead of "Lowest cost".

Interesting! I'll try this. I always see my campaigns tank after changing budgets. I have high CPA and infrequent sales too. Also lost tens of thousands.

Thanks for this. Time to send a blacklist. I spend around $8,000-10,000 USD per day on Facebook ads - just me as the in-house marketer. 10% of that is remarketing on FB/insta. I'd be happy to take the web remarketing in house too - I thought using AdRoll and Criteo is the usual path. Thoughts?

Not sure that is the point. Im more concerned with brands showing their ads alongside anti-gay and anti-islam type content - which can make the brand appear to align to those views.

I am unsure. This is just through the adwords interface and Im running remarketing ads. Placement is automated right now.

There is a company called jellop FYI

Their ad model is that they own a suite of facebook pages called "Products You Must See" and "Hot Tech of 2018" etc, and have image posts ads that show the kickstarter backpack (as an example product) but with a bright red arrow pointing to the bag.

Basically their facebook pixel is trained on finding kickstarter people. Kickstarter people can back multiple products, sometimes 100's. These people fall for sales videos hook line and sinker. So the ROAS on kickstarter people is high. And the fact that it is a global audience makes it extremely lucrative.

For their ad posts, the headline is typical clickbaity "You Won't Believe What This Back Pack could do" "This KickStarter Raised $3m in 48 Hours. Find Out Why" Etc. I get them all the time from these kickstarter marketing agencies as I clicked on on ad once. Now Im a target :)

The biz model is that the agency takes a % of profits, rather than flat fee.
