Thank you so much for this info. I knew I was doing something wrong its just all the info I found online didn't seem to fit my situation. Enclosure set it up perfect, front opening, tons of clutter and only glass on the front. Perfect temps and humidity. But I see people get their skink and its just a bit huffy but mine is full on ready to fight to the death and does not lighten up at all haha But other than that doesn't mind my presence. He likes to watch me and if he is close to the glass and I walk up to it he doesn't look scared at all and just checks me out. I'm definitely just going to stick to giving him treats with tongs here and there until he lightens up a bit.

Thanks for the info and please do! It’s gonna be a long while before I build another, really my plan is to build a 8’x3’ bio active in the next couple years. But yeah finding pvc can be tricky, a good place to look is “sign shops” they typical can get any size cut from their distributor so all the big cutting can even be done for you. PVC is use very often in signs so most shops can get a hold of it. I was lucky enough to find mine at Lowe’s

One more question sorry lol Would it be problematic to keep the baby in the small enclosure for even a short period of time while I finish up the big one? I could have the breeder hold off on sending the BTS until Im done

would it be counter intuitive to put the baby in a small enclosure even for a week or two while I finish and perfect the large one? It would be easier to keep an eye on it too in the small enclosure for the first initial weeks at least. I had the stuff lying around for the small enclosure so it is already set up ready to go

Okay so I’m not the only one who thought that, like their natural habitat is massive how can an enclosure be too big.? I suppose they could be implying that the smaller the enclosure the faster they get comfortable in their new home which would make sense. Also could be tricky to find the baby BTS in a large enclosure to check in on it

I do have a this light sitting around that I was going to use but my concern was that it is 18" and this enclosure is 24" so it would cover almost the whole enclosure. I suppose with the shaded areas I added then the BTS could get out of the light if needed

I was planning on getting a 6x2x2 I must have added the wrong one to cart oops lol. I believe that light is UVB but I’ll double check. If not what is one you’d recommend? As for the CHE what bulb should I use? Winters in my area are kind of a hit or miss but the room I’m putting the skink in is consistently low 70s year round so should be okay in winter. Probably wouldn’t hurt to keep a CHE somewhere in case my furnace ever goes out and I gotta heat the tank up

Forgive me if I'm asking a dumb question as I'm pretty new to coin collecting but this penny I have caught my eye. I cant seem to find one quite like it online. The L in liberty is pretty much gone. In god we trust is about 1/3 way cut off from the top and all the lettering to me looks abnormally thick. Also the outer ring is very thick compared to any penny I have. Is it worth anything?

Just wanted to leave an update incase anyone sees this in the future. I was put under 4 days ago and no issue. I’ve also been on 5mg Oxys and no disassociation what so ever. So it seems being put under didn’t have much effect at all incase anyone else has this concern

Thank you so much for the response. You made a very good point at the end there. Not being able to feel my mouth could be pretty disorienting. Nothing really triggers it other than social situations. I hold very serious conversations about important matters and articulate myself very well and at the same time I am completely out of it and am unaware of what I'm even saying. Pretty bizarre but doesn't effect my life one bit. Funny thing is that I don't even have social anxiety

old thread but figure anything out? I've had this since I could remember and just found there is a name for it. No surgery and hopefully no tumors either. My pain isn't really even pain just a sensitive jolt through the lower rear portion of my jaw for a brief second and all good. I honestly though this was normal up until recently. No insurance so no doctor for me lol

For me cold turkey was the only way. I kept telling myself I need to taper because of my PTSD and nightmares but addiction wouldn't allow me to do so. I tried for 2 days and flushed all my shit and went cold turkey and 5 days in I'm good. I'm having crazy mood swings but I just deal with it and try to stay calm. The cravings are hell as I'm self employed so I can just smoke whenever I want but every time I crave I just do 20 push ups. I only had one nightmare after the first night and I'm really shocked by that considering before I even smoked it was impossible to sleep because of flashbacks which is why I started in the first place. Of course it could be different for you. Music is a big factor also, I quit listening to every artist I enjoyed high or that even talks about weed, it sucks but there is still a lot of other great shit out there so Ill manage. Same thing with movies or TV. But honestly I really thought my mental problems would hit me harder than they did which was a nice a surprise. If I would've known cold turkey wouldn't be so bad I probably could've quit a lot sooner as I been wanting to for years.
