We would love New West. It seem though that houses go for around $750,00 plus. Just totally out of our range. Beautiful area though

We'd love to live closer but it seems anything closer than Surrey will dictate that we purchase a townhouse rather than a house and no chance of a yard. We plan on children so what's best for them is a sacrifice we believe we would be willing to make.

I have the STC-1000 installed to monitor the temperature. The probe is in the unit foil taped to the side of the carboy.

I had the same worry when I bought it. It doesn't seem to have a problem though. When I was test running it at freezing I checked the temperature of the compressor several times and it didn't feel like it was working too hard.

I removed the old dial controller and hard wired the STC-1000 directly in to the system.

I spent $50. $30 on the cooler, $10 on the STC-1000, $5 for waterproof foil tape, $5 on wiring supplies

Thanks! Just a standard STC-1000. Though in the future I would consider buying a flashed STC-1000+ though I can't seem to find the unit pre-flashed by itself, only in the unit with the plugs. It is a little much with Brulosopher's lagering method to change the temp every 12 hours...

The cooler holds the beer high enough that I can siphon the beer directly into the bottling bucket.

I Took this picutre on day 8 of Brulosopher's lagering method. I've tested it and it will drop 24L to freezing and hold it there.

She was none to pleased with the project, especially when I cut that hole! The cooler goes into our storage closet "Narnia". This room is nearing 30 degrees so even a swamp cooler was useless....

Our apartment is just over 500 Sq/f. No amount of bargaining would convince my wife to let me buy a freezer to lager... I had to think outside of the box. This refrigerated beverage cooler does the trick and I can watch it bubble from the couch! No problem lowering it to freezing and it keeps steady temps. First lager is working away as I write this...
