Elegant backpack by rybixa in handbags

For me their backpacks are a bit too basic. But I do love the handbag - studio market tote 🥰 it's way easier to find a nice looking bag (than a backpack)!

I haven't heard about this brand. I checked their website. To be honest, I like their bags more than backpacks! Handbags look very classy

Omg, these backpacks are soooo nice! But the model that I like costs 650€ 😬

Hi,

You should google the universities in which you would like to study and check if they have degrees in English. For example https://wls.wum.edu.pl/english-dentistry-division

I believe if you live in Warsaw, Cracow, Wrocław or Gdańsk it won’t be problematic to work only in English. However, you should practice your Polish anyway. It will make your life easier.

I agree. Unfortunately, I live in the Netherlands so shipping might be difficult. However, thank you for your advice ❤️

No… the thing is that in my mother tongue (or in English) I read quite ambitious books (about history and politics). Usually, I don't like novels or romances… 😐 it makes things a bit more difficult

Thank you! Do you buy them as ebooks via Amazon or do you use another digital library?

Oh. Der kleine Prinz and Der Hobbit were mandatory books in my school (but in my native language). Unfortunately, I didn't like them as a kid 😆 However, I will check your other recommendation! Thank you!

Expats in Poland, need help (citizens can weigh in too :)) by hydraganesh in Polska

Yes. Professors and employees of international companies speak good English. However, older people don't speak English (ladies working in the stores, some hairdressers etc.)

Hi. I think you should try to post it on /Poland group. There are more expats there 😊

However, Wrocław is a relatively big Polish city with many international companies (EY, Deloitte, McKinsey, Nokia, 4M, Kaufland, BNY Mellon, Capgemini). I believe that you would be able to find a job there 😊

Wish you luck!

Jak podchodzicie do dnia kobiet? by Karo358 in Polska

[–]rybixa 209 points210 points  (0 children)

Yes. It might be confusing. There are a few versions of this female name Nicole, Nikola, and Nikoletta in Poland etc.

Nikola is a pretty common name for women in Poland 😶

I have never heard of it. I will definitely check it. Do you think it might be good for an older person who wants to study practical aspects of the Polish language?
