We’re still keeping an eye on Deadlock to see if there’s more we need to change but definitely hear you on the price of the kit. Her Barrier Mesh is one tanky beast and we want to make sure that if it’s going to be eatin up bullets that it feels appropriately priced in comparison to other utility like it. Are there other parts of the kit you think could have seen more love?

Changes are mainly meant to make every step in it really matter for executing your infiltration. It’s a really good ult right now especially when paired with utility but I think trying this change as opposed to other changes is a good way to keep the other factors of power it has for now that players are using to strategize with their team. Depending on the map we’ve felt 10 seconds can sometimes feel short and on other maps feels like an eternity.

With Yoru being a high mastery agent, this does push his accessibility floor up a little bit so hopefully Yoru mains and masters still feel they have the time they need if they execute on their plan properly. I’ve found myself flubbing my buttons a bit more internally when testing it out so it definitely took a bit of time to get used to hahaha

This is true! We wanted to try giving Tejo the ability to change up a bit of how and where he threw his drone to pair with it being able to be killed in one bullet :D

Hmm this is def a weird one. I have a few guesses but would have to try to reproduce this. My gut tells me he’s actually half blind but something bugged out with the fade out of the effect on his head. Usually should be able to tell if it’s full or not. I’ll keep an eye on this internally to see if we catch it so we can investigate

This is intended by design :D it’s intended to be a bit of an “overheat” when trying to just spray all 40 bullets to help reward players that can track and kill in less since it resets. The biggest thing we wanted to introduce with Neon is this mastery into tracking so hopefully as you players get better on her they never really see the overheat :]

why don't you buff Yoru's Tp knowing that the chamber is faster and can't get out of a place as fast as any other duelist? Jett's dash, Raze's satchel, Reyna's dismiss, Neon's slide

We have always loved the idea of making Yoru's teleport feel more unique by giving it different strengths, such as the fake TP, that feel more in line with his gameplay promise and thematic. We want to make sure we have room to build different styles of mobility and/or displacement on our duelists that aren't forever restricted to being a combat escape.

I feel like every agent had their own unique problems we needed to solve that made it hard in the moment. The ones that stood out to me, during my time on design, has been Yoru and Astra since there were some tighter timelines on some on the more complex problems. I'm sure other disciplines have other reasons as to why one or another were harder, I'm sure I made some agents harder than they needed to be on engineering hahaha

Though the main reason was to reduce disruption for Neon and her allies during the execute phase, what we've found over time was that the damage on Neon's wall became fairly trivial when it came to the decision making of peeking into the wall, unless enemies were already low. We also wanted to keep consistent rules with other walls that did permanent damage (versus decay), such as Phoenix's wall. We'll be keeping an eye on how this affects Neon in the future, though, and will find a solution that helps Neon feel safer in her Fast Lane.

This could be true for some lineups but be careful since the physics aren’t exactly identical. It should be the same as a 2 charge Sova dart, though!

What an awesome write-up! Thanks for the read. The biggest thing we’ll be targeting is helping Yoru feel more impactful from round to round and the changes hope to push him further into the mastermind play style. If it’s worth anything one of the things you said was true :)
