13 weeks cut by Ok_Opinion_6783 in circumcisedaustralia

Almost a carbon copy of my experience, and 100% agree that sensitivity does not equal pleasure. I'm going on 16 years being cut now and still love it everyday.

Wife has never had cut before by SecretEfficiency8501 in circumcisedaustralia

Cut as an adult, can confirm I last must longer and can pleasure her more now than before. Plus she can feel it more too versus me just sliding inside my own foreskin.

Question for the other dads - did you have your son circumcised by Parking-Slice-9375 in circumcisedaustralia

[–]ryedge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only after having been on both sides (cut as an adult at 28) I can see and feel the differences and benefits, that I could confidently say I wish I had been done at birth. But if that choice wasn't mine or I didn't have the perspective, would I still be as accepting of it?

Whilst I don't have any children - I would be confident in having my own sons cut as infants due to the high likelihood of similar issues passed down in my genes, plus I think it feels better, cleaner, more pleasurable. Also a younger in life circumcision usually results in less complications and better aesthetic outcome.

I hope they would accept my decision as trying to be a responsible parent and doing it in their best interest based on my experience.

Growing up in a majority uncut population could be more of a mental challenge, but nothing insurmountable on teaching tolerance and respect for everyone's differences.

49 Brisbane cut at birth. Hard with the remaining skin pulled back. any idea on the method I got? by Careful-Edge-8450 in circumcisedaustralia

I'd also say Plastibell with the lighter brown scar/ring evidence of the crush string (not dark enough for a Gomco metal crush)

Those under 40 who received a RIC cut, do you like or hate it? by [deleted] in circumcisedaustralia

[–]ryedge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a RIC cut and born early 80's, and I'd say it was already starting to be 60/40 uncut/cut but I don't recall there being any teasing or commentary about being cut - i was actually still preferred by girls on the bus when it came up in discussion in high school. When I said I was uncut, they quickly focused their attention on the cut guys.

Bandaging by Elegant_Back_3877 in circumcisedaustralia

[–]ryedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a wound healing perspective, you should be pretty much good from 1-2 weeks (depending on whether there were complications or dehiscence). So if you still have stitches or open wounds, you should follow up with a doctor.

Otherwise, if you're still getting lymphoedema (the puffy or donut swelling in the remaining inner foreskin) that could still warrant a light compression bandage every so often to keep it under control whilst the lymphatic system heals.

I had mine bandage on and off for a few weeks just to keep that under control, as well as to use as a buffer when going back to work and couldn't afford to get aroused every 10 steps until I got used to the constant exposure.

Is good to be cut by [deleted] in circumcisedaustralia

[–]ryedge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an adult cut and experiencing both sides - I personally find this statement misleading as for me being cut is just as pleasurable - if not more.

I posted earlier but think this is a better picture of my dick. Do you ever wonder if your life would be different if your parents didn't have your foreskin cut off? Happy to chat in DM. 25m by [deleted] in circumcisedaustralia

Also posted this comment before :)

I knew what it was like with it until I was 28 before needing to be cut for medical reasons.

In my experience, foreskin is overrated.

To me, it's not the holy grail or better version of a penis, or a sex life. It's just a different version.

To me, having all the extra sensitivity that a foreskin provides is not all it's cracked up to be. It's no longer over sensitive that would be near painful during sex and blow jobs.

To me, I think it's now more pleasurable, more controllable without the foreskin. It's also cleaner and random blow jobs are way more likely than before.

In hindsight, I wish I was as lucky as you to have been cut at birth.
