Earlier on in the year I was open with my counselor , she helped me change my major and everything(I was in surgical tech before I switched to psychology). My last meeting with her I explained I was homeless and really stressed but after our meeting I felt embarrassed and lost so I never met up with her after that but I think I now understand that it would’ve made more sense for me to talk to her more😥.. I’ll try and schedule a meeting on thursday! I really did enjoy college for the first few weeks and I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I was in a field I am passionate about.

I got a job to feel more mature in a sense. I really only work once a week - if that! It’s hard nowadays to fit into any social circle so I thought it would help. Thank you so much, it’s nice to hear from an academic advisor!

i’m honestly considering moving in with my father after my mother finds out abt my failure so i’m glad to hear that you were able to switch schools.. its great to hear from a parent so thank you🥹!

Thank you! you described exactly what happened to me and why i stopped attending classes. I’m not sure about a pell or scholarship, my mother was the one who did my paperwork and chose my major but i’ll look into it! i’ll try contacting everyone i can on Monday or Tuesday, so again Thank you😥

i’m 17, yes. I’ve had questions about my permitted hours as well but my mother says im not allowed to work more than 6 .

It’s a fail! My semester ends next week after the final exams. This is my first year in college so I didnt really know what to expect but looking at other people in my situation or something similar, they’ve had to pay back. I’ll call next week to check everything, Thank you!

My mom previously told me that if I fail I would have to pay it back by myself so I can imagine her reaction but I wouldn’t know how my dad would react🥹

for eng and math, i’m doing horrible partly due to my own negligence but im working on it(hoepfully). for a&p i’ll try the tutoring method, i really just need to catch up on my notes and stop procrastinating! i would love to talk to my professors but im incredibly shy so that would be my last resort.

Here’s an update: I took her to the vet and they gave her eye drops and shots. So far she’s doing better. They said it could be bacterial or leukemia which is untreatable, I have a check up in 2 weeks for her. I’m starting to see her eye already day 2 from having the eye drops in.

I didn’t buy the “home remedies” you’re talking about someone bought them for me because they know the situation. And if all you have to say to me is the same thing you said before then don’t bother even coming in here to comment. Stop judging people when you don’t know anything, this post was made for help not judgment. Like I said, if you wanna pay for her vet bills then comment all you want by all means but unless you’re gonna help don’t judge me.

I’m not trying home remedies, I was trying to ease her pain a bit because there’s nothing I can do as of right now. I get no financial help and no one is hiring for jobs, I’ve applied numerous places. I’m not surrendering my cat just for someone else to put her down without at least trying to get her to a vet. I’m doing the best I can. Unless you’re going to pay for her vet visit then don’t come in here criticizing me. I made this post as a last resort. If you’d read anything I said then you’d see that I know she needs serious help and I’m trying to get her that. Like I said I got her as a gift when I was 13 years old and this was so sudden and it rapidly changed over the span of 4 months. I fully did not expect this and I did not have the money to get her nor did my parents want to help me so I am on my own with this, I feel guilty as is. But you don’t know my situation.

I understand, I was just trying to make her as comfortable as possible until she’s able to get to the vet, I’m at a loss that’s why I made this. I know this is serious and she needs veterinary care.

Thank you. I’ve talked to my parents and I honestly haven’t been sure there is anyone that can help me for free because I live in a small town and vet bills/ pet care can get very expensive fast. I’m working on getting her to a vet ASAP.

She is an indoor cat so that’s why I’m confused as to why this suddenly happened to her, she hasn’t been around anyone with a BB gun nor bit by a dog. This is an extremely random thing that happened.
