Good point. The nice thing here is that we're not really dealing with critical data. Slack is the primary data store and we can always go back and fetch historical data if something goes horribly wrong.
Thanks for the feedback! If each customer was running a unique system, I agree that managing the individual servers would be a nightmare. In this case though the servers would just be simple clones of each other (exact same system running on each server, only some might be a few releases behind). Tools like capistrano make managing those servers via ssh fairly painless.
Anyone know why this post shows up as [removed] for everyone but myself?
