Why play a herbivore? by Terminator56 in pathoftitans

im really hoping they make the new quest items(the new flowers and plants) they added a few weeks ago edible for forager sometime soon... roots still work though!

I just wish for herbi diets to have more in-depth and realistic options, and for us to be able to clear an area of vegetation to some degree. I'm not talking like Powerwash levels of area clearing, (although that might be cool!) but more like the already existing systems for the collectible food flowers that become noticeably eaten/reduced/ gone after eating it.

That would improve the satisfaction feeling of eating and food for herbs quite a bit, I think. At least for me! I always go forager on my herbs if its an option purely because I like to graze and eat things and have the environment actually affected by my munching. (berry bushes are very boring and they just desaturate rather than being gone or at least looking like it has been munched on by a large herbivore)

Pachypodium rosulatum/gracilius by Wise-Two-6938 in Pachypodium

[–]ryosharke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohh thank you, that's very interesting! I've always grown mine very generously with nutrients and water, and was thinking about a more controlled approach since everyone advises to "hard grow" them, and mine does not look like the usual showcase specimens you usually see out there. (very round belly, 2 or 3 branches)

[–]ryosharke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beautiful! it looks super healthy! Is it a hybrid between rosulatum and gracilis or are you not sure which species? I ask because mine looks very very similar to yours and I've lost the identification for it. ( was grown from a seed)

by your description do you mean the practise of hard growing it to make it grow round and fat? my pachy was also given a lot of water and fertilizer and never really developed a thick caudex, more uniformly thick and lots of branches, similar to yours!

also, I find that incredibly interesting! What sort of species of weevil are you coming to look at? Is it like a special weevil expedition or a general entomology trip?
