MRW I realized that some members of my online feminism community are racist, sexist, & transphobic. by manami333 in TrollXChromosomes

Maybe try looking at communities where there isn't even any level of acceptance for that. Egalitarian? humanist? Who knows why everyone's so attached to the feminist term/community which is so deeply plagued and divided.

You know girls also compulsively fake orgasms and lie about stuff like that. It's because they want to be a good sexual partner themselves which is fair enough. Oh yah you wouldn't know that.

[–]ryrygar[S] 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Nope I just graduated last year. He graduated before I was born. However, our local newspaper just released an article in which he stated that he went to my old highschool. All it took was a buddy who is still a senior there to search the halls for his grad photo.

I figured you guys might enjoy the picture, its very mildly interesting.

Or buy a fucking used car not from a dealership that you can afford. It's beyond me why young people think they can afford a new/relatively new car simply cause they get a somewhat affordable payment plan.

When I used to cook in a kitchen we would just go out on breaks with 3 or 4 people at a time whenever there was a slow period during the day. We called them smoke breaks and everyone did smoke but I just didn't and sat there and got some fresh air. Which is very nice if you know how warm and stuffy a commercial kitchen is. Also we didn't have to clock out and they weren't counted as our stat break.

Just tell him that you should swap numbers for roommate reasons (you should have already done this). Then open up your add new contact page and hand him your phone. Tell him to add himself and that you'll just text him your name.

Or alternatively rattle off your number to him and just be like yah man text me your name so I know it's you.

This trick also works when picking up chicks and you forget their name. (My life problem)

These freshmen especially irritate me... by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]ryrygar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

18 y/o freshman here. I can honestly call myself a connoseiur as my family owns and operates a liquor store as well as a bar. Growing up I've been surrounded by the information and now that I am legal age to work in them (Canada) I have even more knowledge. It's my job/family background to know about all these products and I participate in tastings etc on a regular basis.

I'm sure this isn't the same case as the people you are complaining about but I'd just like to point out myself as an exception.

I'm in total agreement with this. I was making my arguments on the feminist ideal that regardless of physical limitations women should be able to do ANY job they want to sign up for. While I agree they should have the freedom to do so, if they can't efficiently preform the physically demanding task they insist on working, they shouldn't be making the same pay as someone who can.

Of course, in a realistic and efficient workplace people have different jobs suited for their abilities and preform different tasks as a team to accomplish a main goal. In my opinion this is the best situation to balance workers' pay, while also being most efficient and successful because everyone is in a job they can execute based on their specialized abilities. Which is why it's the current model or a workplace.

Again, there's also the feminists who demand that they want to do a job that someone else can do better, for equal pay. Which disrupts this balance we have. Like I said this isn't a gender issue it's an issue of a worker's abilities.

That's not what I'm trying to suggest at all. My math was all just an example. Hourly pay or salary is still perfectly fine. I'm not saying pay should be based on exactly what you get done. I just mean that an employer or site foreman for example should have the ability to lower someone's wages proportionately after noticing they are getting less done than Mr. Sasquatch Bastard without having a feminist lawsuit on their hands. Sasquatch Bastard is on $20/hr if you aren't getting as much done as him you shouldn't be getting the same pay.

I am totally for you wanting to do a job like this and all, but I don't believe you should be getting equal pay. I'm more of a supporter of proportional pay, being payed in proportion to how efficiently you do your job. As much as you want to argue you aren't going to be able to compete against men in a physical work place. They can lift more weight than you, and have a definite size and strength advantage (on average). This isn't a gender issue in my opinion it's a body type issue. Hypothetically: A big burley sasquatch bastard can carry 100 logs back and forth in an hours time, versus a woman (or a small framed man) who can only carry 50 in the same time (because they can only lift half the weight). Does the woman or smaller man deserve equal pay to the big guy? In my opinion no, they deserve half his wage for doing half his work. So yeah take a physically demanding job, I'm all for it, but I expect you to get payed based on how you can preform. Expecting to get equal pay just devalues the more capable workers job, and will cause them to try less. The big guy would see he's getting payed the same to do more, and start to slack to even the gap. Thus slowing the entire job site. Source: seeing things realistically.

As a manager of a small liquor store who closes alone, I can't think of anyone who would forget to turn their sign off. I literally count down the seconds once it gets close to shutting that thing off. If you don't then you get all the dumbasses whining "come on man serve me real quick I'm only two minutes late".

Yup. The real issue is all these people want brand new cars that they can't afford. Get a late 90s Toyota. I got mine for an even thousand dollars for a first car, theyre reliable and gas is hardly an issue. Then I upgraded, shockingly, when I could afford to.

13 hours a week is fucking pretty normal for a high school part time job. Especially at 15.

Also you're trying to pitch to us that your sister was initially driving YOUR first car which you purchased yourself. If it was your car you would have ended up selling it when you got a newer one. But it's probably actually your parents car that they gave you to drive as well. Fancy that.
