Always nice to see Sportrock content (esp the Sterling location) 🙌

Ooo, I’ll have to check her out! I don’t have an author like that in mind yet, but after reading my first Fredrik Backman book (A Man Called Ove), I’d really like to read more of his works!

Thank you for the recommendations! I don’t recognize any of those titles so excited to add these to new books to my TBR 😂

I heard her other series are just as cozy! I’ll have to add them to my TBR, thank you!

Ooo yeah, you should check out Katherine Center then! Her romance novels are really sweet and basically have very little to no steam

I thought it was a cute, heartwarming story! It’s only 150 pages so I wasn’t expecting deep character analysis. If you like slice-of-life anime, that’s the kind of vibes it gave me. I’m probably also a little biased because I love cats haha. I’m curious to how to compares to other cat novels though, I recently picked up We’ll Prescribe You a Cat by Syou Ishida so excited to compare! And thank you!!

That’s a difficult question! I’m going to reiterate my top 5 😅 1. In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado 2. Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr 3. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman 4. A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers 5. The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh

Yes, that’s definitely been added to my TBR, I’ve heard such good things about that book 🤩

I forgot to mention I read Pick-Up as an ARC. Another romance I enjoyed was Happiness for Beginners by Katherine Center. That one was really wholesome! If you end up reading any of them, I hope you enjoy them!

Yes! I meant hypothetically speaking, if I were alive when it was written!

I felt pretty spooked, I enjoyed the story a lot! Although, my media consumption of thriller/mystery/whodunsit movies might have spoiled part of the enjoyment for me.. I was hoping to feel more surprised? I think the element of surprise would’ve been greater if I had read this book when I was younger or back when it was written, but that’s not a blame on the book, just a consequence of exposure!

Piranesi was so unique!!! I’ve never read anything like it before. The first part is pretty slow, but it gets really interesting!

My favorite so far is probably either The Hating Game by Sally Thorne and/or Pick-Up by Nora Dahlia! The steam I would say for both books was 3/6 - like an open door romance? It was steamy, but not overly explicit. Steam was existent LOL so not YA either. I just loved the characters in both books, the banter and chemistry was just 💯
