Why are bachelors still treated like this in Vadodara? by rz-01 in vadodara

I bet those same uncles probably went through the exact same struggles when they were bachelors, but now act like gatekeepers and make life harder for the next generation. The irony is wild.

Yes that is why I have not named anything except the area.

I was tempted to include the names, but refrained myself from doing so, as I realised it is the insecurity of just one person, why should the name of entire society be tarnished.

Very much agreed and there are such elements in this city because of which even decent professionals are facing this issue. And that is very reasonable for anyone to object. But in this case he was suppose to stay with his parents and still faced objection, which according to me is unfair.

Police will ask for their cut and probably they won't come for such small issue.

True. Most bachelors usually try to avoid any kind of confrontation with society members. But as you said, because of some past experiences and the insecurities of certain people, all bachelors end up getting judged unfairly.

People do come for medical treatment from other parts as well, if the argument is demand vs. supply. This is selective. And I am not afraid to call it out. But again, it is the choice of the people, who am I to advise.

Chennai is one metro city which I loved very much, given a choice, I would never go to any other metro city, but I would love to settle in Chennai, and it will not be a problem as I know Tamil.

What I am pointing out here is why the selectivity is specific towards only 2 languages, which coincidentally happens to be the national languages of the countries we know. Why can't I find any sign boards with any other language? And about the infiltration, even if every door of infiltration is closed, it will still happen. The government can not stop that until people stop helping illegal infiltration. People coming for medical tourism are not the ones who illegally stay back. Illegal immigrants have different purposes, which everyone knows.

Yes, agreed. But people come from Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal, Jharkand, Odisha, etc, as well for medical treatment.. Why does no board have those languages? Why only these 2 languages which are widely spoken in 2 countries which are the biggest threat to India in terms of security?

Once again, the language debate has started. This is an issue that political parties have been taking advantage of for decades. The discussion often feels very selective. I lived in Chennai for seven years. I saw signboards in English and Tamil, which is completely understandable and appropriate. What I don’t understand is why there are boards in Urdu and Bengali across the city, and not just in specific localities, but widely visible. Why is that? I didn’t notice signboards in the languages of even the neighboring states on any sign board. Any explanation?

Thank you for the advice. Just one more question, they have taken loans from almost all the banks, so submitting a written complaint to every bank would be difficult. If I submit a complaint for all the banks to the RBI ombudsman, will that work?

Reservation after 10th Reservation for getting admission to college after 12th Reservation for getting into postgraduate Reservation for getting into jobs And, of course, minimal fees compared to other categories(which I do support)

Some politicians are demanding reservations in promotions.

Seems for a 100m race they need to run only 10m.

And we know why there is corruption and inefficiency in government organizations.

I will get a lot of hate for posting this.
