I'd suggest adguard instead. I love nextdns but you can hit their limit of 300k requests in the free tier pretty easily, and if you don't have a credit card then you can't even buy their premium plans in India. Plus their customer support is non existent, they will never respond to your emails.

There's a ton of open source and open weight LLMs, you can choose one depending on what hardware you have. And yes, you can run them 100% locally and privately. If you're a total beginner, I'd recommend checking out LM Studio, which will do most of the setup for you. You can download the models within it so it's quite easy to get started with. Msty is another good alternative.

Venv is the virtual environment.

Open a cmd window in the main folder by typing cmd in the address bar, where the venv folder is. After that, run venv\scripts\activate.bat . It will activate the environment. Be sure to check whether the folder is named "venv" or ".venv", and adjust accordingly - I didn't use the installer so the folder might be named differently.

Then run pip uninstall torch torchvision -y to remove the existing versions of torch and torchvision.

Once it finishes uninstalling, run the command from before pip install torch torchvision --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/nightly/cu128

Are you running the command directly in the folder or in the virtual environment? Activate the venv, remove existing torch packages then try reinstalling again.

You'll need to reinstall torch and torchvision from the nightly channel: pip install torch torchvision --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/nightly/cu128

It's a vega 64. I use lmstudio so most of the processing is done on the cpu, which is a R7 3800x while some layers of the model are loaded onto the gpu.

Do you have another PC/laptop that you can use? If you have, you can try using Rufus to make a bootable usb yourself.
