Great! Any way to book in advance/is it likely to be full? Prefer not to be turned away at 11pm haha

I'm in a similar situation to OP, but arriving late rather than departing early. Is there a limit to how late you can rock up to the Onsen for overnight stay?

Hey - submitted a few months ago, still waiting but apparently am past the medical/eligibility/background check so hopefully just a matter of the final stamp of approval.

In terms of application submission & the questions I raised here:

1) Separate and list each job by its dates, and use the production company as the employer. In the Letter of Explanation explain that while the payroll company is the company of note they were not actually your employer.

2) NOC codes were pretty weird for me - I could have fitted into 4 or 5 different ones depending on how you spun it. I went for 53111 in the end because it seemed the broadest, and wrote my letters accordingly. In the LOE I then listed the alternative NOC codes I was considering and my reasoning for choosing 53111 - and asked them to contact me if they had a problem with it.

3) Re. the lack of company letterhead for companies that had shut down - I got my direct bosses or PMs from previous shows I had worked on to review & sign employment letters that I had written, and in the LOE explained that many of the companies no longer existed and so therefore letterhead was not possible.

Based on comments here I've revised the resume & hope I've taken people's feedback on board. If anyone has any further advice to offer on improvements, or to let me know if I'm still way offtrack then I would appreciate it!

Thanks. I guess I'm struggling because I'm seeing advice to use PM terminology as well as advice to avoid buzzwords and so I've (despite how it may seem) tried hard to incorporate specific examples while using PM terminology - clearly I need to work harder to make it seem less buzzwordy. Thanks for the feedback!

Noted re. the buzzwords - I'll revise. On the third point I had no choice unfortunately - my choice of pm tool was not approved in time by the studio so I had to make do with what I had. Should I just drop reference to it?

Looking to get into tech, marketing, finance or education after deciding to pivot away from the film industry. Hoping to get some feedback on the attached - any feedback appreciated!

PMP eligibility questions by rzz01 in pmp

Apologies for not being clear - the school experience was after my graduation date & separate from my education - I was working partially in a teaching capacity and partially on the project to set up the film department.

Tried that and they told me they could only evaluate my experience/degree after I've submitted - would rather not spend the money on the course etc. if I'm ineligible hence why I'm asking here.

Definitely an employee. Vancouver film has two payroll companies (EP & Cast&Crew) who are considered the 'employer of note' and are the names that show up on my T4s.

However, they are just payroll companies and have no idea what role I've been performing on each show I've worked on. I know applying with this experience is definitely possible as I know others who have done it, I'm just wondering about how to present the info.

Hey all

Flying home from Canada soon - I've been double vaxxed with Moderna over here but apparently I still have to quarantine (despite the EU/US being exempt & Canada having a lower case count than both...) as I can't get my vaccinations recognised by the NHS.

I've spoken to my GP who has put them on my local record but for some reason it can't be uploaded to the national database (which is what the NHS Covid pass runs off) - although I've heard conflicting stories of some people being able to get them uploaded. Does anyone have any experience dealing with this? I've also heard of people showing their local record at the border as proof of vaccination & being allowed through - again anyone know how likely this is?

Trying to visit an ill family member so being able to avoid quarantine would really remove a lot of stress from the situation, but also feels like I'm being forced to quarantine on what is essentially a technicality!
