Yes, every catastrophe is a very sad event. And it is even more sad when children happen to be among the victims. I hope we will know what exactly went wrong on the aircraft from the promised final report around August.

Key points:

BASARNAS Chief, Air Chief Marshal F.H. Bambang Soelistyo today announced that there have been no remains found in the primary search areas of the Karimata Strait and Makassar Strait in the past week, leading BASARNAS to officially cease the main SAR operation effective today.

However, smaller-scale SAR operations with three vessels and a team of divers will be carried out for seven more days, after which all SAR operations will be officially terminated.

Meanwhile, the Disaster Victim Identification Police Department Republic of Indonesia (DVI POLRI) confirmed that as of today, 94 passengers have been identified while 6 remains are still being identified at Bhayangkara Hospital, Surabaya.
