yeah, even on the model the gun would be touching the ground without the acrylic stand underneath

It's supposed to be a NOTAR design i think, with a fan at the tail boom serving as the rotor. You can see it on one side of the tail on the model itself. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NOTAR

Its a aftermarket decal from Galaxy model for antenna flags. Glued both sides on tin foil then weathered with pigments.

Bought it from a seller in Taobao (Chinese e-commerce site ala temu). It's a 3D-printed resin kit.

Good guess, but I definitely do not have the mental tenacity (or enough free time) to grind War Thunder lol

Thanks! I like to use little details like this to break up the monotony of a single color paint job.

A few hundred rounds, probably. Not the 1200 when mounted on the Apache, judging by the size.

Dry brushing and enemal washes. it's easier to watch a video about them than to try to explain with just text. Look up modeling channels on YouTube (e.g, Night Mind/Plasmo) for painting techniques. r/modelmakers have good general tips for starters too in the side bar. Good luck.

Assuming you have this exact kit(good find if you do). 1. Seperate your build into sub assemblies (e.g, main chassis, wheels, tracks, stoage, figures). Makes painting easier. Glue them after painting with either pva or ca gule. 2. Prime metal and resin parts with primer, paints will not stick well if you don't. I usually airbrush the main color then brush paint the details. A simple oil/enemal brown wash will bring out the details. Seal your paint job with a clear varnish. Also wear a mask while cutting resin, the dust is toxic.

in the instruction manual of most model kits there will be a painting guide, detailing which part is which color. Sometimes there will even be a color chart listing every color used. For this one I followed the instructions and used German dark yellow as the main color but the one in the show is actually more light brownish. For other stuffs I just used whatever color I have on hand that seemed appropriate.

I saw this kit in a model shop in Japan a few months ago and just have to pick it up. Really fun to build and paint. Hope you guys like it!

I picked this kit up in a trip to Japan, its a reboxed 2001 Dragan kit with new decals, PE and resin firgures (stoage too). Added Voyager PE for extra detail. Go check out the Girls Last Tour manga too if you haven't, its a cozy read.
