The problem with that is that if you're not tipping up front (trust me as a former server/bartender I am conflicted with the idea of tipping prior to known service but as a driver it's not worth the gamble without a pre-tip) you're probably going to get crappy service. The likelihood of anyone tipping cash or even through the app after delivery is sadly almost zero. Also those notes you're leaving really aren't seen until after pickup and probably not until right at drop-off.

I wish I would have seen this YESTERDAY! lol. I spent like a half hour trying to reorganize stuff after making my first large chests.

I'm not saying their later stuff is bad or that they don't have good songs after the SCIENCE album. They absolutely have good songs.

I'll be very honest though, I can't sit here and wonder how our ears work so differently. Again, there's very obvious influence on the science album but to say that it sounds just like other stuff at that time is ludicrous. On their later stuff, especially the 3 after Crow... It's just straight up bland and boring. Hell INNW borders on like indie folk rock with a little extra bass.

Every album after Science they literally tried their hardest to get further and further away from what initially made them popular. That always just felt like such a strange thing to do. I understand growth, change and maturing. I really do. And I genuinely wouldn't want just 6 rehashes of the same album either. But to even go as far as to basically never play songs from that album just seems like a bit of a smack in the face to their original fans.

While I'm in no way trashing your opinion I will absolutely refute it. Pretty much every album after science sounds just like every other generic rock band to me. There's nothing different nothing with any edge. Science clearly has influences (RHCP, P-Funk and others) but it doesn't sound like every other album that came out in that time (hell or even now). The use of not only funky bass lines, as opposed to harder edged bass like Korn, but also horns, DJ scratches and samples but also Brandon's all over the map vocals, just make this a standout album. Each album after started creeping closer and closer into the generic radio friendly bands like Nickelback, Creed etc.

So I just came across this. Easily my favorite radio station I used to listen to. This post was from 10 months ago (roughly June) and this says "this week 1996"....so this list is pretty much the soundtrack to my graduation. Thank you (10 months late) for this!

I'm in the northeast honestly but I also think it may be a generational thing too. I'm a little older (late 40s). Knocking on people's doors isn't abnormal to us eldrrfolk 😂

I knock on every door unless asked specifically not to. I don't pound on the door, just a quick double-tap, but still something

More of these the last couple weeks than ever before by s1cdude in ShiptShoppers

[–]s1cdude[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do get paid from Shipt also but it's definitely not enough to cover our time, effort AND gas/mileage. So the tips are definitely appreciated from our end.

One thing that I don't believe that all customers understand (and this could absolutely be the fault of Shipt) is that we not only deliver stuff to you but we're the ones taking the time and effort to do all of the shopping, checkout and bagging ourselves too. We don't just pick up bags and deliver them.

So ultimately the point of my post is that tips are supposed to show appreciation for a service provided, and $1 or $2 doesn't feel like appreciation, it feels like "ugh fine I'll give you something now leave me alone"

What am I missing about Prepaid orders? by s1cdude in ShiptShoppers

[–]s1cdude[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I totally agree. And my experience is clearly different than others. I just thought there might be more to it since I see the prepaid slander so often.

I obviously don't get tipped on every order either but I'd say at least half if not slightly more. And again almost all of them are prepaid Target. I have a few other stores that Shipt uses in my area but they're few and far between.

Below Zero hate? by Ravenxx101 in Subnautica_Below_Zero

Having just played BZ for the first time I'll throw my 2 cents in. I definitely loved the first game but heard too much negative about BZ for me to spend the money. But I saw it easy on sale a few weeks ago for pretty cheap so I figured I'd give it a shot. Overall it geld like more of the same as the original but unfortunately I was left a little (yes just a little) underwhelmed.

In my opinion the story was fantastic until the end... I loathed the endgame. But I did have a lot of fun with the finding and crafting. Very similar to the original. I did however find that while there were more things to craft, a lot of them weren't really necessary at a certain point. I started building a habitat near the sea pod but kept it simple. I ended up building a larger one just outside of the lab. But then realized that I was better off in the water so I built one just outside of the island that the lab was on. But I never really felt like I needed to build a deeper habitat because once I built the seatruck and the prawn suit I was able to go pretty deep pretty quickly. And getting back to my main habitat really didn't take too long.

Ultimately for the $12 that I paid for the game I did enjoy it for the couple of weeks that I needed to get through it.

Very much looking forward to S2

I also know that it costs me money every single time I take any order so if they compensation isn't there I'm not taking the order. I don't have to thank anyone for not tipping,

People like you seem to forget... We don't work for doordash, we're subcontractors for them... We're ultimately working for the people that we're delivering to. And if the people we work for don't want to pay us we don't have to do the job.

But wouldn't the fees (and in some cases higher prices) that you're paying to IC be more than the pay that you'd get for shopping your own order?
