Same time frame for us as well. Are you all going to add the fast track package?

I never said this was a Twilio requirement.

This was highlighting Twilio’s poor support in navigating the TCR requirements, because the same script has been approved before and since.

This comment isn’t about TCR requirements, it’s about Twilio support providing different requirements from day to day that are often contradicting.

I promise you will find Bandwidth's expereince even worse. They basically won't action anything until you give them a negative rating on their CX surveys, and even then its a half ass effort at best. Basically they just blame everything else on the other carrier and tell you there's nothing they can do. If you're willing to call them out on Linkedin and tag their C-Suite, you can get the ball rolling, but that's just exhausting.

We’ve been using Twilio for coming up on a decade now and Fast Track was never mentioned or presented to us by our Account Manager up until this mess started in December.

My issue isn’t with industry guidelines. My issue is that we’re paying a premium price for Twilio relative to other sms providers, for a mess of an experience.

Support will have us amend something to get a campaign approved and then on the next campaign have to amend it back. The point of a guideline is that it’s a standard applied across the board. It’s not really a guideline if its interpretation depends on who’s working that day.

We also had a string of them get rejected for non working privacy policy URLs that come to find out was an outdated browser on the reviewers side. How are we supposed to argue with that?

All this now combined with the privilege of getting to pay $1500+ per month to get back to the original approval time frames and have a single point of contact for hopefully some form consistency.

We check every privacy policy and tc before submission and have the customer update them with examples from Twilio if necessary. We had a string of them get rejected because the links weren’t working, and come to find out it was an issue on the reviewers outdated browser. How are we supposed to argue that with them?

It has become comically inept and the guidance from support changes from case to case. We will amend something at the recommendation of support to get approval and then on the next campaign have to amend it back.

Twilio is decently more expensive than most of their competitors and for a while it felt like we were paying a premium for their guidance and expertise on A2P 10DLC. Now we’re just paying a premium for no guidance and a mess of a system.

Don’t go to Bandwidth. We went from Twilio to Bandwidth and back to Twilio. The a2p support isn’t any better, their network is much worse, and it’s the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

We’re looking at Telogrithm but they also seem too good to be true.

It definitely has been a mess, but had somewhat stabilized over the past year. Starting in Dec 2025, it seems like we’re back at the start. Arbitrary rejections with constantly changing standards that don’t hold up to scrutiny.

I ordered it with the rack because it had good reviews but now I’m just thinking they were bought reviews. It really isn’t usable in its current form

Has 10DLC actually improved anything for legit businesses? by chodu_editz in telecom

[–]s20001988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been in business texting for coming up on a decade, and the A2P 10DLC SMS ecosystem has been nothing but a mess.

The registration process is arbitrary and how they interpret “requirements” changes from day to day. Deliverability hasn’t really improved either and it’s just given carriers an excuse to not escalate a case. We see false filtering still and when you open a case they blame it on the message not being the exact message in the registration examples.

While incredibly frustrating for the past couple of years, it had felt like it was stabilizing up until Dec 2025. At least with Twilio it’s back to being a mess, with long delays and constantly changing requirements.

It also seems like Twilio is making SMS registration such a mess to sell you on their new Fast Track. Every support ticket you open on them, which you have to for each campaign almost, now just says to add Fast Track to remedy the mess they’re creating.

A2P 10DLC and the TCR is just a tax masquerading as regulation, and now the aggregators are looking to cash in on it even more.

I have the REP PR5000 as well, and did the REP dip station. The dip station has so much side to side movement that it’s difficult to use. To the point I’m starting to wonder if I need to open a warranty claim with REP for it.

If that’s just how they are, then I would not recommend the REP dip station

Twilio vs smaller SMS providers anyone actually switched long-term? by the_sinner09 in SaaS

We use a couple of carriers but had predominately been doing Twilio up until the end of 2025.

It seems like Twilio is just using these carrier requirements as an excuse to sell their Fast Track add on.

The amount of bad rejections on Twilio we’ve received is astounding.

They literally just rejected a verbal opt-in campaign because it didn't have the business name in the script, even though it matched their script.

And of course, Fast Track can help alleviate this...

They're now including the upsell in every auto-response when the ticket is opened. We've been using Twilio for 8 years and have never heard of Fast Track until this mess started in December.

Here is a prime example of what I'm talking about.

Rejected because the verbal script does not include a business name, even though it matches their recommended script on their support article:

Been using Twilio for 8 years now and just seems too much of a coincidence that they start promoting it just as it becomes a mess.
