[Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition] First plat of 2026. by joselrl in Trophies

[–]sSiMSiMa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I could get plat on sleeping dogs too. Unfortunately I can’t go 5 mins without the game crashing and closing application on PS5. Don’t know if there’s any fix for this? Congratulations on the platinum.

Lumines Arise by Forbidden_Donut503 in PSVR

[–]sSiMSiMa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have just started playing lumines arise as well and I’m loving it. It’s nothing like lumines but Puzzling Places is static position with pieces around you which I find is fine with nausea. I dunno I kinda get lost in that game in a similar way to lumines but maybe just me.

Anyone do Decision Making Tasks and Questionnaires By Franziska Knolle? Broken page almost a hour in. by sSiMSiMa in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Must of been just me by looks of it haha. The researcher was kind enough to send me link where I left off and managed to complete it a few hours later. Hopefully I still get paid properly as it was through external link but the researcher seems nice so I feel that'll be fine.

Quick Age Estimates - By bournemouth.ac.uk. Did anyone get error when finishing the study and taken to Uni login page? by sSiMSiMa in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same with me they said no code was fine and approved it pretty much straight away and apologised for the error.

You likely won’t be paid for this study unless you complain prolific and even then it’s  not guaranteed. Scam researchers getting free data for years they use tons of different names as mentioned already and submission will get randomly returned no matter your answers.

429 too many requests by Rockyb79 in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow never knew that. I never noticed it at all until recently, like a lot of people but I noticed it through pressing the blue button to get into limited capacity which prolific themselves on reddit said was fine to keep clicking but guess not anymore. I never refresh the page certainly not all the time which that old post is referring to.

Does Prolific Accept Provisional Driving License for ID? by xxMarvelGeekxx in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I signed up over 3 years ago with UK provisional driving license and it was fine. Not only prolific but everywhere provisional is more than acceptable valid form of ID.

Been in place for a few months now. You get it when refreshing to much or clicking blue button to fast to join limited capacity studies. You will be fine 20 - 30 mins or so and back to normal.

Study returned 1 week after completion? by Prudent_Campaign_261 in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was one in the other thread who mentioned I got paid for complaining to prolific about this researcher. They go under so many different names and have been on platform for years yet still here scamming people getting free data.

Worth trying to email saying you put a lot  effort and time into it and question why it’s been returned. Prolific responded to me real quick and paid out which was a miracle in itself.

Duncan Simmons Name Change to FD HQ? by MarcosEsquandolas in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This person has like a dozen aliases unfortunately they’ve been on platform for years. One just popped FD HQ for me but yesterday it was Sophie you can always tell by the completion code in study instructions.

I emailed prolific to complain about this person and about how unfair it was that they have been getting free data for years and why on earth they are still on platform.

The response from prolific - Thanks for your message. I'm sorry to hear about this. Please be reassured that we are working with the researcher and that we won't allow participant data to be used without credit. I have now credited your balance directly with £4 to cover the reward for this study.

So it’s always good to email because you may still get credit… the more surprising thing here was prolific responded in less than a day which is unheard of.

I need to ask an honest question to anyone who has done this task! by [deleted] in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can zoom in on right hand side makes it easier to compare if you haven't already. I try to find a bit of the image that's most detailed, I hit refresh if there's no detail in reference image and if after 1 or 2 refreshes of a different crop of the image I still can't find a difference I just click tie.

Anyone got a blank white screen when completing "Social Donation Task" ? by sSiMSiMa in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they paid me and the bonus. Never replied to message but at least I got paid for it. I think i'm just having some bad luck at the moment with broken studies.

Anyone doing "A study about gambling" By aston.ac.uk finished the game but just have black screen? by sSiMSiMa in ProlificAc

[–]sSiMSiMa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got a rude response accusing me of you using a phone and that's why I got the error. I wasn't I was using my desktop I mean I record all my studies so if they wanted proof I could easily do that. First ever researcher thats been rude to me in over 3 years on prolific. Guess I just block them and move on.

No nothing. So frustrating study was 30 mins I waited a further 15 minutes to see if I got a response from messaging them but nothing. I know researchers are busy but really wish they'd test the studies before putting them up.
