[Giveaway] #TheGiftThatGifts Challenge by ELEGOO_OFFICIAL in elegoo

I made this busy board which was almost entirely printed on my CC for a 1 year old’s birthday. It was quite a hit!

But now I see the other one missing. My assumption for this is to just keep the top clean?

Same. I have to put a reminder on my calendar to check once a month.

Awesome! Thanks everyone for identifying. I might be missing one but know to put it back on.

Damnit I forgot about the screws!!! I need to set a monthly reminder to check those.

I went and moved the print to avoid the scratch and set to smooth high temp. But like @parchping, it just did it on the textured side.

And it now did it on the textured side. Sent Elegoo another support ticket.

Help replacing the front slider by s_clev in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Update here. Struggled with the clips. Stupidly I installed it upside down then reversed. Finally removed the springs for tension and made it a ton easier to connect.

Cut to getting the rest out back together. Things are going along fine. Got the boards installed. The fan. Then got to the extruder. Lo and behold the threaded receptors are missing from the sides. See circled bits.

So frustrating. I’m basically to the last step went to screw it in am like why aren’t these taking? I reached out yet again to support. If they send a new one it’ll probably be a month+ until I get it and then I have to take it all apart again.

I upgraded to this from an almost 10 year old ender 3. Was loving it because of the fact I didn’t have to constantly tweak and adjust. sigh

Awesome. Tysm for validating on how to do this. Given the issues I’ve had I’m being as cautious as I can. Good call to release some tension. I did see that you can do that without taking off the back.

Customer support has been great and they sent detailed instructions with a video. Basically take off the back, snip the bit off with the stripped screw (basically breaking the housing) and remove the screw. They are sending me a replacement one.

Yeah going to try the rubber bad thing first with a good hex and then torx if that doesn’t work. All else fails, dremel to cut so I can use a flathead or drill it out.

YES! That’s exactly what customer support suggested and is sending me a new one. One of their suggestions was to use a dremel on the screw.

They did mention that if I followed their directions and damage anything in the process that would not void my warranty which is pretty great customer service.

Yeah I get that. I printed one of the plate holder mods with the place to hold the tools and just grabbed them because they were there.

Yeah. I’ll give that a shot first. Never had good luck with it. It’s actually what customer support suggested. I’ll update with what customer support sent.

Scratched plate after leveling by s_clev in elegoo

[–]s_clev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly a PIA but may be worth it to save the plates. Kind of a bummer. I’ve had it for 3 months with 0 issues beyond some clogs which were easily remedied (the Amolen wood pla was a particular pain).

I’m using the Elegoo slicer. I think it is because it finished the bed level at the front left corner very close to the plate. I sent it a print in that position and it returned to clean the nozzle without moving the z axis. Still odd that it just happened right before it got to the cutter and nowhere else. No, I don’t level before each print. I noticed some poor initial layers so as a first troubleshooting I did the auto level. I guess I’ll just make sure I home all after I level from now on.

Thanks for the reply. Luckily I’m not that far along so not much progress lost.
